personally i felt that the looks is very normal, not very outstanding. performance wise... test drove once and reckon it's definitely better compare to some MIJ/MIK.

looks a tad boring, buy the sports version and add a stage 1 and you got a 7s car....

Fire sale! One time offer over this weekend at $102,888! Collect by CNY!

Papers advertising at from $115k minus $3.5k discount last week and this week after COE went south. You sure is only $102k? I know pre-launched is from $105k onwards but Coe then was around $56k

That's for the basic model, get the sports la, more fun and timing chain instead of belt

I am curious for people buying German cars here, do you have a big option check list? German cars are famous for that, what type of options (e.g Navigation, cruise control, hill assist, sports line package, wheels etc) do you get.

Mine is a used low spec A3, & its a big different from a fully loaded one. I promised myself the next car, I will get high spec variant, with features I wanted like NAV, Full Leather interior, Heated seats, & better wheels.

My main concern and in fact deal-breaker is the problematic DSG.

Not really actually. I find a lot of options are not something we really need, but pay a lot extra for them.

Need to see what kind of options they are.

In the case of Audi, I would pay 10K more for S-Line. Love the trimmings, bodykit, sound system and S-Line seats. My next Audi will be S-Line. hehehe

I prefer it to come straight from factory. Don't like to zhng here and there.

The S-line is the right choice, & btw, the option ain't all that expensive, & you get alot of standard goodies, & bodykit. It cost 1900 pounds in U.K for the S-line option. Its the stupid taxes in SIngapore ( & dealer mark up) that make it so expensive.

But I wouldn't get an S-line for my next Audi, I will get a S model instead. [:)]

Haha, yeah I know S-line is not that expensive elsewhere.

S model is way out of reach (and not willing to pay). Can think of S-Line considered not bad liao! haha

When I see an Sline and my car, I just shake head. [laugh]

BTW, besides the 3 door 2.0 A3, i think the other variants all have same specs. How is yours considered "low spec"?

The A3 2.0 is better than the 1.4/1.8 coz it is S-Line.

The Jetta Sports is a fantastic car, small engine but as fast a a BMW 323 or 325, the best thing is that the evos and wrx wont' even be bothered with you until they smell your smoke....lol

smoke evos and wrxs? they just can't be bothered to waste fuel on normal roads only la...

some of these guys race on tracks only bah. normal roads, drive lightly. don't let them fool you.

My car is not bought in Sunny Singapore. [:p] Thats why I ask.

Back to discussion.

You mean you can only pick the color & CC? Thats pretty spartan by Audi standard.

German cars are well known for their option lists.

Some options

Types of wheels

Roof rail- think got 2 types

Xenon lights- The only option I have!

Fog lights

S-Lines which include lights, & wheels pack I think

Navigation

Type of seats-& leather or not.

Center armrest

Heated seat, not sure if there is climate seat option, but for sure, it should be available in the higher end models.

LCD screen in Instrument cluster I believe is also an option, as mine is back lighted like cheap eco car.

Hill assist

B&O audio

Cruise Control, & steering wheel control- Mine do not have any steering wheel control & not lather wrap, very lame, I thought this should come standard for an Audi.

But the engine & gearbox are [thumbsup] , & the fuel economy is a little unbelievable good, without even trying.

I pay a very good price for the car, so I can't complain. There are higher spec models, but mine has the lowest mileage, & the cheapest for the 1.8T variant, which is my key consideration. I can actually pay more, & look for better ones, but I have pressure to get the car soon, as I was moving very sooon then to a place not so convience for public transport. Not to mention I need help from my colleagues to drive me to showrooms, so I cannot be too choosy.

But at least now, I have my own car, I can look around more easily, & I know what spec & options for my next car. But thats something far in the future. The car have serve me very well.

UK1.9K = S$4K X 100% ARF = S$8K + 7% = S$8.56K + Dealers Profit = S$10K.
