Aiyah..at the end of the day, it depends on whether there is a necessity n how frequent is the vandal or whatsoever...usually only strategic locations have such preferential treatment.... [laugh][laugh][laugh]

I read that the main technical constraint is the height of hdb multistorey cp is too low. Hence it limits the viewing angle that any cctv can have. As a compromise they are looking at installing at key places such as cp entrance and exit, if i rem correctly.

It will be good if there is CCTV at MSCP. If you wanna go oversea for a long time and will leave yr car at carpark for a long time can consider to park in the view of the camera. The people who want to vandalise, break in, or even steal the car will think twice... Those blur blur one , all their action will be captured.

I am all for the installation of CCTV at all HDB carparks.

I came across some HDB carparks where CCTVs are installed yet I have not heard any increase in the carpark fees for parking in these MSCP.

Take my case, I am paying the standard $90 per lot at a HDB MSCP without any additional perks like lift or CCTV. And moreover, I do not find the level of cleanliness at my MSCP exceptionally cleaner than those with lift or CCTV. On the contrary, I have to file complaints to my TC from time to time about the poor upkeep of the MSCP.

Having paying the same amount of parking fees at a MSCP like any other MSCP user, I can't help to think why my MSCP is treated different from the other MSCP with lift or CCTV.

well, its kind of... either the A rob you or B rob you kind of situation... how to choose? you might as well ask me whether im willing to break my leg, or break my arm... [;)] [;)]

nothing is free in this Singapore. Gov dont give you free things. they built something, they will make you pay. If they install CCTV in MCSP, you will have to pay for it. be it season carpark, or hourly carpark...

I just double check and confirm $90 for my parking lot at MSCP.

Worst still, I find myself paying more and yet no perk.

so far my side the MSCP got camera or cctv at the staircase only..but not in the carpark itself for parking lots.

but then again..those that i saw are along the staircase.. dunoe working or not also lol..

but at least with it there, it may deter crimes at staircase side..

Dear Jamessoh,

My sincere hope is that this idea will not be brought up to the relevant authorities.

There is no bad intention from me as I too feel that vandalism , hit & run and other related offenses are

anti-social behaviors.

What you should also consider the fact that some entities will see this as an

opportunity to increase their profits further. As you should understand, we are experiencing an ever increasing

burden on price increases in our daily expenses.

Sincerely.
