Strange Popping Noise from My Exhaust

The pop sound is unburned fuel exploding in your exhaust muffler.

If you have not done any tuning...I suspect your O2 sensor is screwed....better do a check on it.

Do your FC increase a lot before and after exhaust mod ? Do you feel that your car is not so power as before ? It all points to a screwed O2 sensor...

For exhaust white smoke, Check ur engine oil... if its decreasing, chance is either one of the piston rings loose, engine compression of the piston running low... Mechanic will say engine "eat" the engine oil, tat why got white smoke.

Best is go for a engine compression test... Earli detection may help u save alot... If piang ur engine, then more headache...

I was thinking....usually white smoke is due to gasket/seal leak...engine oil get into combustion process and produce the white smoke....

I encountered before , the culprit is the spark plugs...

wonder TS notice the speedo meter any abnormal when the popping sound generated...If spark plug issue, the rpm will dance up and down when you accelerate...

Hi. No, nothing abnormal. Other than the sound, everything is fine. As for the white smoke, it didn't happen today. Morning and Afternoon no smoke at all. I think its really condensation.

What I don't quite understand is why the engine will run rich when I change exhaust. Could it be due to removal of cat?

Btw, a few others also have the same sound. I wonder if its a problem with the model.

That means your car is too low.

You need to increase the height. IT will damage your undercarriage. Do check it for scratches and spray a layer of rubber coat over those areas to prevent rust.

Hi folks, do exhaust backfire means I'm running too rich or lean? Experience backfire pop pop pop sound when I wot, experience a few time alr if under hard driving, workshop say its normal but I somehow find it strange. Could it be the exhaust too restrictive or too little fuel. Thanks in advance for the replies

Too rich, watch out for foul spark plugs.

Meaning the plug will spoil faster, if that is so at least Ra much cheaper than engine blowing. Would u guys rec changing plugs to copper every 5k?
