Who can best tune car audio system? WS or yourself to intro

1. set audio volume to 3/4

2. turn off all effects, EQ

3. set Balance & fade to front

4. on the 4 ch amp, adjust the gain, leaving auto HPF & LPF, adjust bass boost to increase the bass

5. set Balance & fade to rear

6. on the 4 ch amp, adjust the gain, leaving auto HPF & LPF, adjust bass boost to increase the bass, volume cannot cover the front speaker

7. set Balance & fade to front

8. on the 2 ch amp, adjust the gain, until the bass boost distorted

9. adjust the xover to make the bass shift to front

 

 

Why i say myself could not properly tune?

 

Because i use to turn the volume to 1/4, is already very loud, now i have to turn the volume to half, then i can hear it.

 

I am thinking is it because my 2 ch gain too few, thats why the my HU volume now have to turn to half then can hear it.

 

Any advice?

previously also on mex bt5100, can't drive helix comp properly (lacking mid bass; sounded hollow). simon fr xxxximage recommended chg to pioneer hu, after ok. me runnin all helix spkr (fr & rear) w/o any amp.

 

so unless ur sound quality out, u may consider to chg hu since u oredi considering. dont think u should need to chg spkr / amp...

 

ICE is kinda experimental & ever-ending journey, unless we invest in proven combo by "recommended" & "reputable" audio shops, but would end up spending a few Ks (includin soundproofing).

3. Replace rear stock speakers with the same as your front speakers.

 

what does this means? same brand as the front?

visited my ICE installer (Ken from audioDr.net) on Thurs...finally got time to installed 2x special custom made RCA cables from him on to my audison amp to drive my ESK165...

 

the different is IMMEDIATE... after a 30min tuning on my alpine 9855.....all the instumental sound just so complete & soothing, background music are more obvious to the finest details.... finishing are more nicer now...its a total experience

 

its like the piano, guitar & the singer is just right in front of u on a front stage...

 

worth the spending..
