Signal or not, some bugger are just out to look for trouble, encounter one bugger this morning, filtering into PIE from JW ave 2 and my speed already maintain with the flow, he saw me entering soon and accelerate to close the gap tight, I was running out of roadway so I just squeeze in, bugger just horn and high beam and I just move on straight to 2nd lane and move off as it's empty.

It's really annoying, normally when drivers or riders wanna merge into the expressway, if I'm on 3rd, Ill move to 2nd if possible to let them in, but some just like to squeeze ppl out... What a Tuesday...

Wasn't it taught in school that motorist on the left most lane should assist motorist coming into the expressway?

I still remember one case few years ago, jam on the AYE, was trying to change lane *from 2nd lane to 3rd lane as we are going to go out of the expressway via asliproad, before we change lane, we signal and wait for 3 seconds before changing lane, the car at the third lane had already slow down to let us fill the gap, but unknown to us, when we are about to change lane, this joker on the third lane *Which slowed down before to let us fill the gap* suddenly speed up to close the gap, making my father swire the vehicle back into lane 2, then this joker after filling the gap pressed his horn, whine down the window and show his finger......we just ignored him and let him past before we make change lane again

the 3 seconds thing wait is written by you...

frankly, i have seen jokers who one blinker and when cars behind drop speed to let them in, the joker continue to remain in their lane, but when car behind pick up speed, joker start to do their lane change.. so naturally joker got the finger as requested.

so what is your travelling speed and what was the car behind? 3 second is a lot in highway travelling

Agreed, i also cannot tahan such drivers who can't make up their mind, or being mind lagged.. Imagine if u give way to him, he will hog in front of you to make your blood boil..

Seriously, i hardly encounter driver who seemed to give way, end up closing the gap so that u lane change.. However, quite often i encounter driver (LJ Lang) who purposely speed up to close the gap so that u can't lane change, than after that act maciam gracious to give way to you.. This kind i pui chao nua..

If from far i saw the car signal his intention to change lane, I will definitely slow down for him.

As for those who seems like their fingers paralyzed, can't even bother to signal, I will never let them in.

That's why sometimes I find signaling your intention would prevent ppl from giving way to u, especially in Singapore.. Being too used to it, I especially like to change lanes in front of those drivers who seemed reluctant to give way, without signaling.. :D

either you don't understand what karter wrote or you are one chao kuan driver.

"turn the moment you signal" what do you understand from this statement?

anyway signalling is not for fun. it is a way for communicating your intention with reasonable duration of notice. if you are going to turn at the same time you signal, you might as well don't. [rolleyes]

I'm see drivers who signal once (blink once) and cancel signal then move in. Another group even better. Half of the body move into the other lane than start to signal.

But you have taught me something, because i always tot that signaling is for fun n just to beauftify the car.. now i know of the importance, thanks!

Few ways you can do it, have slot at adjancent lane then you signal and straight away go in no need to advance signal. Or advance signal and anticipate the car at adjacent lane sped up and you apply intermitten hard brake, very fast the adjacent car will pass you and you straight away go in, third decelerate and slowly inched into next lane. Last one wind down window put ur hand out if it is a jam. If cutting to left same wind down window and wave . Always remember to WIND DOWN WINDOW AND WAVE THANK YOU IF OTHERS LET U PASS!
