NETS/Credit Card machine Rental

Hi guys, need help on the above...

 

Starting a small business with a friend doing retail biz, on pushcarts as well as fairs/event utilising shopping mall atrium spaces.

 

Intending to apply for NETS/credit card machine. Any experts here that has the experience on this?as i have yet to register the biz, do we need to register first before getting the machine?what are the costs involved and the legal considerations

need company to apply, need telephone line so check does the cart allow telephone line.

Need RCB registration, bank account and phone line. No phone line, you can apply for a mobile terminal.

Thanks bro...now reading up the ACRA thingy...for NETS are there any surcharges for each transaction or just a flat fee for POS equipment rental?

wow bro where you got the info? tot CC only charge a certain percentage point for total sales collected? or izzit whichever is higher?mine small biz if too high also

i got info cos i wanted to include credit facility too.

 

but found out got monthly subscription.

 

 

nets also need certain monthly target turnover in nets trans to be free.

 

else also got monthly subscription [:(]

 

target i tink 20 +K per month :angry:

 

only paypal free

 

paypal collect fee only when got transaction.

There is a monthly charge, additional $10 I think for mobile terminal and 1.5% transaction charge if I remember correctly.

 

For credit card, there are different % charges depending on volume for Visa/Master and Amex charge higher.

 

Overall charges, still higher than NETS.

 

Note that there are programming fees and service fee charges as well.

i believe Nets and Visa is separate machine, so you need two telephone line or one split into two and can only do one transaction at a time. Need to pay two rental charges.

 

For small volume transaction, the commission charge will be higher, about 3%-4%.
