I believe the panel van driver that rammed the mpv may had broken legs from the impact, instead. Sometimes some drivers do stop at amber light, before the red light showed up. Yet some others even go through red light. However, motor insurance premium definitely going up [sweatdrop]

Because many good vehicles speed. Same same for buses and lorries. And these vehicles like to come so close to the cars infront especially at the lights. Damn inconsiderate. Hope nothing wrong with the Wish passangers. -_-

Generally commercial vehicle got longer braking distances than cars. Last week one pick up overtook me so easily when I was driving along a 70km/H speed limit road?

I wonder if Class 3 Driving Licence should be for cars only. Class 4 for commercial vehicles.

I observe alot of morons on those new generation panel vans (especially the the Japanese boxy vans) like to drag gear. With 3000cc engines, direct fuel injection and force induction, they can easily outpace 1600cc saloon cars. Problem is, do these morons know how effective the brakes are beyond 70km/h? I have driven one a few occasions. Beyond 70km/h, the bite of the brakes really CMI.

You are bound to get replies saying that the danger posed by a commerical vehicles and cars are the same at the same speed ....

I have encountered many of them driving on Lane 2 on the expressway even when the left lane is empty ...... most if these drivers of such vehicles IMO have big ego problem .... cant they keep left ? When you overtake them, they will just give you the LL face ....

Worse is them speeding away on Lane 1 when the traffic clear ....

Thankfully, the van driver did not seem to be injured. So too was the MPV driver.

They were outside their vehicles talking to the TP, who had arrived by then. The vehicles were able to move after the accident.

Told by LTA: those small MIC MPV as private car got 70km/H speed limit due to their brakes performance (I never buy one).

The Authority already said otherwise on the risk involved. The manufacturers agreed, too?
