If you put one 14" tyre, your car would not be levelled - your coffee / coke etc would spill [:p]

Joking aside, you could have gone for one more 15", so that it would be complete set when you travel around, esspecially up north!

huh?

got such thing?

the overall rolling circumference is still the same what.

change my friend 17 inch with the 14 inch spare. Dont feel anything wrong at all.

Depends, if the rolling circumference is same, then nothing is affected.

For my case, I actually increase my rolling circumference, therefore it will be slanted to one side, but it's going to be small issue. Normally manufacturer won't recommend you changing tire size over 3% of the original RC.

Kept the spare in boot. Used once when in boleh land.....that kinda convinced me to leave it in car cos never know when it comes in handy for yourself or perhaps someone in urgent need.

Safe ride

Cheers

Don't worry about that, at the most the car will sink at one side, when you get your original tyre done, just change it back.

Must learn the basic seriously, if driving in sg, we can still depend on EMAS vehicle, in msia, we are on our own.

Found one example above, different cars comes with different jack but they are more or less the same, break down triangle is very important as well. Always carry a touch in your car.

where to buy this car jack ah? i think my car doesn't have one...

For exclusive driving in Singapore, you can save your boot space leh.

But you you drive to truly Asia, or in other countries, where when your car is down, you can get stuck at the road side for a long time, or there is risk of something, be it weather, envirnoment, or human factors, its better to be more prepare, & a spare tire is on top of the list. Its is not uncommon also, in bigger countries, Not to have cellphone reception on B-roads.

Its always better to be over prepare then under prepare. I have first aid kit, water, reflective jacket, cellphone charger, & I need to remember to top up snickers or some ration & my water.

Also always check the law of the country to see what is requirement.

good stuff esp the reflective jacket.

i carry an aerosol can of tyre inflating foam for situations where i rather not spend time changing tires. Only works for small punctures/tears/gashes.

i also hv duct tape and cable ties. And selected hand tools.

I definitely keep my spare tyre in my car, u never know wat's gonna happen and where. But having said tat, do not just leave it in the car and be contented.

Last yr when my car was 5yrs old, I somehow decided to check on my spare tyre, thinking that I've not used it and everything should be ok. But the fact turns out otherwise. the tyre was completely deflated. lesson learn, always check ur spare tyre if you intend to keep it in ur car. :excl:

You can ask the dealer to pump the spare tire when you do servicing. Just saying. When you change tires, you can also ask them to help you pump.

Can ah?? cos to remove my spare tyre like major operation. when the tyre is in position (in the boot), the point to pump the air is in accessible. so need to take out everything..

Nxt time I do tyre rotation I try asking. Thanks for the advice!!
