Tigerwoods Turbocharged December 1, 2011 Share December 1, 2011 It is very sad to see drug runners being sentenced to death. I believe they are just the runners. I hope to see the gang of B@st@rd Drug syndicate be round up and fed drugs and stand infront of a firing squad that aim at their LamPa.
Happily1986 5th Gear December 1, 2011 Share December 1, 2011 i feel a tinge of sadness even as i look through the photos. The more the photos look inocuous and nonchalant, the more uneasy i felt. I can't possibly imagine how its like to sleep the night before the fateful day. Nevertheless, drug dealers and runners alike are a scourge on society akin to a deeply entrenched parasite that has to be removed at all cost(s). It is just that in the face of death, suddenly you realise we are all the same, fragile and fearful.

Scion Turbocharged December 1, 2011 Share December 1, 2011 i have a feeling that the debate of whether death sentence is against human rights is going to start soon... anyway i'm a supporter of death sentence... probably because i believe in karma
Watwheels Supersonic December 1, 2011 Share December 1, 2011 In cases like this I think drugs are used as a tool to enslave the poor to do what the drug syndicates wants which is to smuggle and peddle drugs. It's easy money and they won't get caught plus there are plenty of poor ppl in China.
Sosaria Twincharged December 1, 2011 Share December 1, 2011 Death is just the end of life (okay, this is going to start another debate...), so as long as all your affairs are taken care of, you've done whatever you wanted to do, and the death is quick and painless... well? What is scary is a long drawn out death like due to illness or things like that. Anyway, back to death penalty, I can't imagine the psychological toll on those executioners, guards, etc. Because in china, due to the large population, there are actually quite a number of executions all the time. Like regular affair. Probably need a lot of counselling...

The girl He Xiuling seem like in her 20s. has she failed society and has society failed her? For a young girl to fall through the cracks and the rubric of society, it takes a bad hat and a society that doesn't have much in-built social safeguards. I wonder which is truer. I always find that if an indvidual went wayward, the society and the people around him/her takes 51% of the blame. Look at all the countries of this earth ? Developed = you see poverty, Undeveloped = you see poverty more widespread and extremely sad images. You see continuous news of people and organizations donating sh1tloads of $ but poverty can never be wiped out so long as the world is fuelled by Greed. From day 1 ancient times to modern day, nothings changed. From this, I'd say SG has done pretty well.

Lethalstrike Turbocharged December 1, 2011 Share December 1, 2011 There will always be peddlers when there are demands. It may be easy for us to point fingers and put the blame on society, governments, policies and all sorts of externalities. But when people are poor and desperate enough, this may be their only way out. Just look at the people under the dictatorship of my avatar, if you give them a chance to peddle drugs in exchange for food, i am sure many will do so if the consequences are not made known to them. On the other hand, if the peddlers are in this due to greed, they do deserve the 7.62mm round to their heads.

Scion Turbocharged December 3, 2011 Share December 3, 2011 put aside your anti-PRC sentiments from an objective point of view, which side do you think has done the correct way? Quote China turns down Philippine 'mercy mission' Posted: 03 December 2011 1258 hrs MANILA: China has refused a visit from the Philippine vice-president to ask for mercy for a Filipino on death row, and said the man's execution will not be delayed, the Philippine foreign department said Saturday. The 35-year-old from the Philippines is scheduled to be executed on December 8 after he was caught at an airport in 2008 trying to smuggle about 1.5 kilogrammes (three pounds five ounces) of heroin into China from Malaysia. "We have also been informed that the Chinese side is unable to arrange the visit of Vice President (Jejomar) Binay to China at this time. We respect the Chinese law and the verdict of the Supreme People's Court," the foreign department said in a statement. "We are still hoping that Vice President Binay be allowed by the Chinese authorities to go to Beijing to personally hand over the letter of appeal of President (Benigno) Aquino," it added. In a separate statement, Binay said "I remain optimistic. I feel that Beijing has not totally closed its doors to my visit so I can personally hand over the appeal of President Aquino." The Philippines had said earlier this week that it planned to send Binay to China to ask that the man's death sentence be commuted to life imprisonment. Binay went on a mission to China in February to save three Filipino drug mules from death row, and secured a temporary stay of execution, but Beijing went ahead with the executions a month later. They triggered widespread condemnation in the Catholic Philippines, where capital punishment was abolished in 2006. - AFP/cc
