40k, you did the ATF change also if included, the price is around there for the GS with ATF and diifferential oil change as well.

i did not know they offer loaner. haha and yes, all those free breakfast, entertainment set up at the 2 coner is not for free.

btw, i saw the ex transport minister yeo cheow tong there last month when i was there.

ES300hybrid - 40K servicing recently $1.2K (including aircon treatment), not cheap right.

in my opinion, probably pay for the free drinks/breakfast/waitress there...

Service staff above average as usual (polite, attentive, respectful and quite knowledgeable).

Also replace the 2 front power door motor (which decided to breakdown on that day itself - ?coincidence - not sure, seem strange).

Loan car no stock - but at least they drive me to my location and sent back the car.

Notice both Lexus and toyota showroom relatively empty (both customers and cars) - COE shd come down then with lower demand.

i had free servicing for 3 years even than aircon filter is chargeable IIRC.

the sponsor stockist sell it 6x cheaper! i had my friend bought a few over from the US sometime back original toyota for alot cheaper. aircon treatment we can diy with lysol

If you are under warranty and intends to keep the warranty intact, you got no choice but to go BM for servicing.

It is well known that BM will not lose to PML/C&C/WEARNES when it comes to servicing/repair cost.

Just don't go for their superfluous extras they like to "present" to you... eg. aircon treatment, engine oil additives.

Even things like cabin aircon filter if you don't find that you have any issue, you can choose to not change although they strongly encourage you to change. The litmus test to all these extra things is to see if they are still "recommended" if your servicing is FOC.

Heard there's new promo - Further discount of $8K for ES, and $4K for NX series, on top of the standard discount.

XE is priced attractively. But its interior is worst than an Altis. So no go for me!

How is XE's interior worse than an Altis when the XE has much more leather & soft touch interior versus the Altis' hard cheap plastics?

Unless you mean design?

*I don't have an XE, just wondering why it is so disappointing to you  [:)]

:-) I feel that the plastics on the door panels are too low quality. XF is much better.

Wah! not cheap.

I saw there is some pre-paid servicing package can buy can get 10% off if we pre-pay 2 sessions in advance. What do you think of those?

You should expect up to 30k off list price based on certain T&C. I would strongly recommend my Sales Consultant Joe Sim who served me well for last 2 decades.

What are the T&C involved?

I test drove the Lexus NX 2.0 turbo. The overall handling is good for SUV, however, I am less impressed with the power delivery. Based on the specification of 0-100km/h in 7.1 sec, the feel of acceleration surge is definitely not there even in sports mode. This could be due to the transmission which is turned for smoothness?

As a comparison, I can feel more responsive power from the IS250 - non-turbo version. Happy to hear feedback from others on NX.

you mean you like the feel of turbo lag?

Check out this video. https://youtu.be/hGGRXsX4DSo. Seems like the acceleration is close to the 7.1 Sec specs.

Maybe it is because the Lexus in-house developed 200t engine is specifically designed & built for smooth power delivery, you can't feel that it is as fast. ;-)

I have driven the GS200T for about a month. I am impressed by its level refinement compared to any turbo-charged engine.

However, one has to be realistic that it can never beat the v6 engines smoothness. Turbo lag is a characteristics of any turbo engine; so just need to change one's driving style . ;-)

I know what you are saying. I had the same experience though I dun drive Lexus. My previous car was a sedan(1.8L NA) and current car is a crossover MPV(1.4L TC, raised ride height). Both have similar 0-100m/hr timing but I feel less surge in the crossover. Probably the suspension of the raised ride height absorb whatever surge that is present. Plus I always find that the speed feels surreal and often I find myself over the speed limit.

The sedan with the lower ride height definitely has more feedback from the tires to the steering wheel. So whether it's acceleration or braking the feedback is stronger. The travel of the suspension in an SUV or crossover is longer and is able to cushion much surge or impact dan a sedan's. The transition from driving a sedan to a SUV/crossover it takes some getting use to.
