My IS250 Just had some ticking sound coming from the Dashboard area. Sound gets louder when moving on roads with some bumps and uneven roads.

The issue was due to the airbag clips got loose and needs adjustment.

Something "interesting" happened today.

It was cold today. When I started the car it shows outside temp of 22 deg and my aircon is set at 24 deg. As i started driving i realise the aircon vents at driver side started to emit warm air. This was a pleasing relief to my frozen hands, but unusual as i could not find any temp controls for this or override it. The passenger side air vent however continues to emit cold air through out.

This went on until i reached my destination. The next time I started the car everything is back to normal again.

Anyone any thoughts on this? Or is this a sign of impending issue with the aircon.

I have the same experience, not sure if it air con problem, or just the car trying to meet the temperature set 😅

Funny it happens only to driver's side and not passenger side. I was alone.

How many zones is your climate control? Did you set different temp for different zones?

I only see a 'DUAL' mode on the menu, not sure about different zones.

Why so coincidental??

Me also same issue. Stop engine and re-start 3 times no improvement.

immediately went to my workshop. After couple of restarts, back to normal. No error code in OBD. But workshop uncle had seen similar before.

Diagnose intermittent stuck servo motor (also called aircon blend servo on internet). It is accessed from panel in driver footwell. Replaced for a 2xx damage and everything back to normal. I went back to research and yes this is common issue  (Toyota/Lexus) and exact resolution.

Yours still under warranty?

Actually happened to me actually once before after servicing @BM maybe 2 years ago. It was working again after 2 engine restart, and then never surfaced again until this Saturday.

So it may not re-occur frequently. Best you can bang table and get it changed FOC anyway.

exact same thing happened to me last Sat. Warm air blew to driver side, and cold air to passenger side, after a restart everything back to normal again.

Seem to be a very wide spread occurence with Lexus?  LOL...

Maybe because of the sudden low temp? Mine also occured on Sat morn when the outside temp (22deg) was lower than my normal set temp (24deg) on my dual-zone.

Mine happened this morning too. Driver side blew hot air but passenger/rear side are ok. Couldn’t recover after restart. Finally manage to recover after workshop guy reset the program setting. Spent $30. Still need to monitor whether it will reoccur.

Hi,

I recently encountered the car air con selection button in the infotainment system was auto off (resulting in blowing hot air )whenever I restarted the car in the past 2 days, even when I set the temperature to 20 degree it was still blowing hot air. I had to manually on the air con instead, there is no air con selection button on the dashboard but only in the infotainment climate setting, so far it happened about twice few months back and I have feedback to BM about it, they have no idea of the actual clause but they say it could be due to the additional wiring I have added (leg room light and HUD)?

Anyway from what I could remember, it only happens when the weather is cold, so far it doesnt happen when the weather is hot. 135601152_1174766946271453_4596241923773372098_n.thumb.jpg.73216ac37c65b1874d5bfd9146c1d30a.jpg

Why not set to 18 or LO to test? Won't harm the car.

Yes still under warranty. Upcoming servicing will ask them, if it does not occur in the mean time.
