nice, good to know yours able to get 100% (like iPhone)

really mine never, max only 1 bar left to full charge, just did 19K servicing recently, should have ask Borneo Motors.

FC drop after servicing than realised probably because the set the tyre pressure back to 240 all fours - which in my opinion made the ride a bit soft. Prefer to hyperinflate to 270 and this helps in improving fuel consumption to 18-19km/L, if not 16-17 only.

Yours is the ES, right? I think the normal tyres might still be okay for 270, but the run flats on the IS hybrid could be too firm in terms of ride comfort.

that car is PI ?

I noticed the license plate shows Borneo Motors.

IS300h use 4-pot and CVT, very different from IS250. Unless one drive really high mileage, I would prefer IS250. ES is different, ES300h may be preferred over ES250

Hi all,

New to this forum. Just got my ES300h. Trying to customise the turn signal lever during lane change from 3 signal flashes to 5 instead but can't seemed to do it. Do I have to bring it back to the service center to have that resolved or did I missed the steps?

Many thanks for any advice!

Congrats! I really like the rear space of the ES ...amazing legroom.

Anyway back to your question, I dun think can DIY this light signal thing. Need to go service centre and ask them to do it for you. In fact, I think can ask them to do anything you dislike and it can probably be programmed except for physical and system limitations.

Enjoy!

Btw anyone going for that F Sport sepang thing? Please share experience whoever is going! :)

Not sure if it's the same for the ES as it is for the IS, but here's a link to some instructions:

I didn't bother with it myself and had Borneo do it for me when I went in for my 1k check.

Yes, the lane change signal flashes default setting is 3, customised setting to 5 or even 7 can be done by dealer only (he will attach with a notebook to sth below dashboard, near steering wheel). Its quite fast, can be done within a 1-2 minutes. When connected, you may want to change the park assist alert volume up to your liking too.

Please play with all the different settings that we can change either using the navigation module main screen or by the steering wheel display button, its quite fun to change it to suit your own taste.

For example, I prefer the fuel consumption (after refuelling figures) to be always on instead of "outside" temperature (Drive monitor). Units can be changed to. Auto lock by speed or gear and how many doors can be open with remote all can be done easily.

Btw - pls let me know if you can find the solution (need to buy and install a module) to

1) unlock the car seat memory function when vehicle in motion (memory seat button cannot be use unless stationary and neutral gear)

2) unlock all features of the GPS when vehicle is in motion

3) allow passenger to view DVD when vehicle is in motion.

4) allow all features of the Bluetooth telephone when vehicle is in motion.

willing to pay but could not find anyone in SG who know how to do it.

Lastly anyone know whether its possible to set/modify the auto tailgate? Alphard/Estima can both open and close the tailgate from inside the car and via the key remote. Our lexus can only open, cant close the power boot while inside the car or using the key remote.

Still need to walk out from driver seat and press the button on the boot lid.

Thanks Guys appreciate it. Yes I got the ES because it is so much of a "passenger car!'

Helps a lot to realize that the signal flashes are customizable only at the Service Center. 5 flashes would seemed more appropriate for lane changing. The manual should have specified clearly as it is vague on the steps or need to visit Lexus dealer and seemed that it is a universal manual for all over the world which some are misleading. I mean for instance some of the features like LDA (Lane Departure Alert), Front Collision alert, home garage opener on the rear view mirror are also not part of the ones we got for the vehicle.

My brother's Honda also deactivated the seat alarm and DVS playback during the drive but only by a third party. Can probably check if they do Lexus but probably some may fear that the sophistication of the system may upset the Lexus software.

More Questions:

Anyone not using the additional second remote? Should I "hibernate" it or something? Because apparently leaving it on will drain the spare fob faster. My agent even said that losing it will cost me 1 grand to replace.

Anyone actually use the AV to view videos? Apparently someone in the US uses a 4 pole connector/3 VGA AV cable hooked up to a HDMI converter to play video using iphone AV cable. Do share if anyone uses other media to play.

And I have to agree that getting full battery bars for the hybrid is tough! All the time I only have 2-4 bars and EV mode is practically rejected most of the time. Any tips to charge it full fast? Put to Sports all the time?

Interesting they're going with a FL ES for 2016, when the current design is about 2 years old. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like in full.

Was looking at the price list for ES,

somehow the ES250 price has gone up from $223k(after CNY) to $237k this bidding.

seems like the increase is higher than the COE increase

Is it due to CEVS rebate also?

cant imagine if the FL is going to further increase on pricing!

Agree would be interesting to see. Sometimes the facelifts or updates can make a real difference. I have driven all the updated Lexus cars and they were all better in some respects. The ISF was a lot better after the 2012 model. And the latest CT I drove last week was a big jump from the pre facelift model.

Lets see next week when facelift ES debut at Shanghai motor show.

My personal wish list for updated ES

- full LED headlights with adaptive feature (currently only HID)

- Auto high beam (not available)

- more stylo rear lights (a bit plain compared to GS/LS/IS)

- electric side blinds (instead of manual)

- full panaromic camera and optional autoparking features

- wider multi information display hopefully same as LS

- air suspension

- panaromic roof available for hybrid

- night view assist

- LED signal lights

- rear entertainment system

- intelligent auto cruise control

haha...just dream on.

btw: Heard from Borneo SE FL may be available as early as end of this year. Maybe should sell before "price drop".
