Cerano 1st Gear December 3, 2011 Share December 3, 2011 Are you an ang mo or chinese or as a matter of fact what race are you ? If you are ang mo good luck to you. If Chinese you are sure a 7th kid. Others....nevermind. No wrong no right. im Chinese. whats a 7th kid? Well you can call me a banana or anything but western culture appeals to the younger generation more. For example Chinese opera, to many youngsters it sounds quite bad. Italian opera on the other hand eg. Nessun Dorma etc, appeals to us more. No wrong no right, just preference as you have mentioned. 1fast1 Supersonic December 3, 2011 Share December 3, 2011 (edited) After having had the time to reflect on "Cerano"'s comments, I have the following to say: 1) If you are Cerano's son using your dad's a/c as Viceroy suspects, please stop doing so. You are benefiting nobody by doing this, and you are potentially sullying your dad's reputation (I don't remember ever having thought of Cerano as a troll before). Create your own a/c and stand on your own feet. 2) If you are indeed the original Cerano, colour me disappointed. 3) The "Uncle Tom" syndrome is a well defined pejorative amongst US Blacks. The Chinese who look up slavishly to the Whites while deriding their own race have no real equivalent. "Pinkerton", "Banana" and the very mild, even neutral "ABC" just don't cut it. Perhaps we should christen (bet you like that Ang Mor word) you "Uncle Tong". Hurrah, a new pejorative is born. Note that I have no real horse in this fight. I am not Chinese and I am not Caucasian. I am ethnically Indian (and a Singaporean by birth). Even though there are many things to be saddened by and ashamed about what goes on in India (and indeed in Singapore), I will NEVER just put my own ethnicity or Nation down in a blanket fashion like you seem to like to do with your own, especially in a blatant comparison to another culture. Every race, every nation has its problems and its strengths. You cannot change the fact of your origins, so learn to accept them, even be proud of them. *Asians* taken as a group have a lot to be proud of in their own right. As an Ang Mor pop song said: "Never forget where you're coming from". You'd be wise to "Take That" to heart. 4) If you choose to disregard all I have said in point 3, you might find a more receptive audience in "White Nationalist" (a euphemism for "White Supremacist") forums like stormfront(dot)org. Go there and gush about how you're an inferior Chinese who wants to fawn over your superior White Masters. You'll be received with the requisite amount of patronisation and condescension that you deserve. But that's what you're really looking for, isn't it? Why don't you troll them instead of MCF? American culture is unlike that. They have values that they are clearly willing to stand for even perhaps at great cost of their wealth (look at Greenpeace and other NGOs, Occupy Wallstreet) and peace (wars fought to liberate countries and prevent communism from taking root) and human life. Im not so sure the same can be said of the others You are the first guy whom i know who regards the Chinese culture as hedonistic. You do know that by definition, hedonistic equals to the desire to seek pleasure for oneself, don't you? By default, the Americans are the most hedonistic bunch i had even come across. Even my American colleagues admit it themselves, which is why they are still the world's number one consumer of goods and services. Yes, i do know that some Americans are the epitome of human goodness. But seriously, willing to stand at a great costs of their wealth, peace and human life? There is an anti-Wallstreet movement because the wealth of the average joes had been destroyed by American ruthless capitalism and greed. You don't see these average joes protesting on Wallstreet when times are good? Do you? There's nothing noble about getting back whatever wealth you had lost when others had squandered it for you. Peace via liberating countries ? The average Iraqi and Afganistani had suffered after the US military just dust their asses off and go, leaving behind a chaotic void in the instated governments. Respect for human life? I think till date, they are still the one and only developed nation to use the atomic bomb twice on the hapless innocents. They managed to get away with it is because history is always written by the victors. Okay la, i rest my case since you had already insisted that the Americans are the greatest race on Mother Earth. Viceroymenthol 6th Gear December 24, 2011 Share December 24, 2011 Oooops, is this Cerano's US Army SPG son? Army faces calls of racism in wake of suicide by Asian-American private Published 22 December, 2011 12:53:00 The Takeaway The Army announced charges against eight soldiers in connection with the suicide of a Chinese-American private, Danny Chen. But now, many in the Asian community are saying the Army has a bigger problem with racism in general. U.S. Army Private Danny Chen, an American of Chinese descent, was found lying in a guard tower on an American outpost in Kandahar province in October. The 19-year-old soldier died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. This case echoes the suicide of 21-year-old Lance Corporal Harry Lew in April, another Asian-American who reportedly shot himself while serving with the Marines in Afghanistan. Wednesday, the U.S. Army announced charges against eight soldiers ranging from negligent homicide to assault and dereliction of duty in connection with Chen's death. The Army and Chen's family say Chen was bullied to the point where he felt suicide was his only choice. Pentagon spokesman Navy Capt. John Kirby declined to discuss the Chen case specifically on Wednesday, but did speak broadly about bulling and hazing in the military. "Any single case of hazing or inappropriate conduct toward a fellow soldier, airman, Marine, sailor, Coast Guardmen is inappropriate and not acceptable. Zero is the right number. We treat each other with dignity and respect. That's what this uniform requires." Lt. Dan Choi, a former Army officer and Iraq War veteran who was kicked out of the military under Don
Viceroymenthol 6th Gear December 24, 2011 Share December 24, 2011 or maybe this one? http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/10/27/...E79Q28T20111027 Three Marines face court-martial stemming from suicide By Jorene Barut HONOLULU | Thu Oct 27, 2011 5:40am EDT HONOLULU (Reuters) - Three U.S. Marines were ordered on Wednesday to face court-martial on charges they physically abused and humiliated a fellow Marine who later killed himself while they were serving in Afghanistan. The case stems from the suicide of Lance Corporal Harry Lew, 21, who shot himself with his automatic rifle during a patrol in April after he was allegedly beaten and hazed by others in his unit for falling asleep while on sentry duty. A suicide note that read, "May hate me now, but in the long run this was the right choice I'm sorry my mom deserves the truth," was found scrawled on Lew's arm, according to an investigative report cited by the Marine Corps Times newspaper. Lew and the three men charged with abusing him -- Jacob Jacoby and Carlos Orozco, both lance corporals, and squad leader Sergeant Benjamin Johns -- were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. The unit is stationed at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay on Oahu, which is probably where the three men will be tried. The three were referred for general court-martial by Brigadier General Frederick Padilla, commander of the 3rd Marine Division, but no date for the proceedings was immediately set. Jacoby, facing three counts of assault, as well charges of humiliating Lew and threatening him, was accused of repeatedly kicking and punching Lew, according to charging documents. Orozco was charged with one count of assault for stepping on Lew's back, and with cruelty and maltreatment for ordering him to perform push-ups, leg lifts and other exercises while dressed in full body armor, the documents said. Orozco and Johns both were further charged with humiliating Lew and with dereliction of duty for failing to supervise and ensure the welfare of a Marine under their care. Captain Michael Regner, the company commander, testified at an evidentiary hearing last month that he saw Lew asleep on watch as he approached the patrol base the night of the incident, a situation he said would leave the unit more vulnerable to attack. Base spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Curtis Hill said the maximum penalties carried by the offenses charged had yet to be calculated. "The Marine Corps does not tolerate hazing of any kind," he said in a statement. "When allegations of hazing are made, they are investigated and if substantiated, appropriate corrective action is taken." He added that the three Marines were presumed innocent until proven guilty. Cerano 1st Gear December 24, 2011 Share December 24, 2011 (edited) Clearly there are good and the bad in both the USA and China. If you would read the latest issue of popular mechanics you'd see how the Chinese are incredibly unethical engaging in economic espionage and all manner of cyberwarfare against Germany, Italy as the USA. In an example, an American oil firm's private records were hacked and then they were outbid by the Chinese company by mere thousands in a tender. The chinese know that the only way they can match the US is in terms of cyberwarfare capability. Furthermore, the US btw, does not engage in cyberwarfare. This marked reluctance puts them in a gentleman's disadvantage. I dont know about any of you but I respect my freedom to choose my religion, choose my government and heck even walk out in the streets whenever i want. Do not take any of that for granted. It is a liberty given us by the free world actions of the West. Not the east Last thing, I do not condone racism in anyway. I have said this many times over. I merely acknowledge that the West is superior in terms of morality, culture and technology in every conceivable way. http://articles.businessinsider.com/2011-0...e-cyber-attacks http://www.theblaze.com/stories/oops-china...ar-against-u-s/ Edited December 24, 2011 by Cerano

No one here is contradicting you on the military superiority of the USA. People here are disagreeing with your rose-tinted and somewhat naive views of the USA with regard to democracy and freedom. I am sure Private Danny Chen and Corporal Harry Lew once believed in the country of their birth (USA), democracy and all that crap and that is why they and many others signed on with the army. The problem here is not what YOU believe, but what the WASP establishment does and does not in its actions. You seriously think anyone gives a sh*t about you and how highly you think of the USA, its superiority of culture, military, technology, etc when the USA gets into a full-scale war with China? They see you as Chinese and that is all that matters to them. If US born-and-bred Danny Chen and Harry Lew couldn't even gain the friendship of their fellow American soldiers, what chances do you, an US citizen-wannabe born in Malaysia, speak English with Ching Chong slang, have at all when they are pulling you out from your bed and throwing you into the concentration camps. That is exactly what happened to the Japanese-American citizens during WW2 and if you asked me I don't think they have changed very much. The American WASP establishment is a strongly patriotic one and somehow Asians have never been regarded as true Americans up till today, as exemplified by Danny Chen's experiences in the Army when he had people asking him if he was from China despite being a born and bred New Yorker. Hard Truth #1. Do you think they cared who were Viet Cong and who were US sympathisers when they carpet bombed entire stretches of central and north Vietnam with napalm? Do you think they cared who were al-Qaeda when they swept entire Iraqi villages with gunfire killing every person who looked remotely like an Iraqi in sight? These were sanctioned by the top military brass at the Pentagon as well as the senior politicians in the senate and white house, the very same people championing American Democracy in far-flung corners of the earth. They chose to look the other way and write these off as collateral damage. Hard Truth #2. If by some stroke of luck you have acquired US residency when war between China and USA breaks out, first thing that will happen to you will be Americans of all other colours heckling you off the streets. Then you will find faeces smeared on your front door. You will get beaten up in the streets and the police won't even bother because you look EXACTLY like the people the USA are at war with on the other side of the world. These were EXACTLY the experiences of Arab-Americans across the country in the aftermath of 9/11 and if that doesn't make you think harder about your adoptive country and the people there, i dunno what will. You guys are simply bashing me because I am Chinese and I am proclaiming that the West is superior in many ways. Better means better. Its not conditional. You can accuse me or anyone else of being naive but it hardly changes that fact. Read, FACT. Most of our tech, our haute culture and our way of life came from them. Racism is another matter altogether. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM. I could very easily give you examples and evidence to refute any of the above examples of Vietnam and Afghanistan that you have given but I wont take time to do that since you very probably wont believe them anyway. You are probably more inclined to think that its all a USG conspiracy for oil gold and money You may as well just join some of the cults saying Obama is the anti-christ. Instead of making me repeat myself for the 10th time why dont you read up on my views? Once again i'd like to say I have never claimed and will never claim that the US is perfect. Neither will I say China is perfectly bad. Yet in life we often have to choose the lesser of two evils and in this case, the choice of freedom over oppression even if it means that that freedom has to be fought for by the brave men and women in uniform everyday. The choice is clear Let me instead pose a question to you? Do you think your Chinese friends over there are any better?
