These are all the problem you could be facing when you didn't properly maintain your tyres!

30,000 miles is 47,000 km

If keep the tyres for 10 years means only drive 4,700 km a year?

Most people average 12,000 km a year

How use use same tyres for 10 years?

:D

Anyway for MIL car I will follow the use for 10 years.

You should change your battery after 2 years closer to 3 years.

I would change it just before it dies.

jamesc is an idiot!

Who doesn't know change the battery just before it dies.

The problem is who wants to stuck on the road with a dead battery?

:D

Even my boy when he was 6 year old know how to solve this.

How come so called intelligent adults don't know the answer.

My boy for his remote control and will carry a spare battery.

So after 2.5 years buy a battery keep it in a polystyrene box to keep it cool in the boot.

When the car cannot start in the carpark just take the spare out of the boot and change lah.

Just don't forget to carry the small spanner to unscrew the nut.

These days don't tell people to carry the spanner they so stupid never think about it and bought the new batt but cannot change.

My stock Varta battery finally die at the 3yrs 4mths mark.

Despite charged for 18hrs, it could not hold any charge for 2hrs. It was the last juice from the batt and Utari was there to salvage the situation.

Changed to a EFB at Soh. Cash & carry

Varta doesn’t seem worth the extra cost. I have had good length of service with amaron.

For all the batteries I have tried. Varta, amaron, Bosch, exide, globatt, flamm. The worst has to be GS yuasa. 1st one died after approx 1.5-1.8years. I thought it might have been a dud. Japanese quality cannot be that bad. Tried another on another car later on. Same shit 1.6years died.
swore off this brand Liao.
