There is no ipad2 at sitex and no special discount for tablets. As usual, go there if u want to buy printers, laptops or LCDs, else save ur time and petrol.

I went there and end up buying more household stuffs at John Little.

I'm thinking of getting one 2, near entrance SONY and ask for the tablet. Salesguy say 16GB for $680, and free upgrade to 32GB, the "free upgrade" actually means a free a cheapo 16GB memory card, I asked him you sure or not, how can it be the same? I know the apps cannot be installed into the SD card, upgrade my foot. Seriously those shows should stop hire young bengs who knows nuts about gadgets.

Pop by a few other tablet stalls, like asus and samsung, limited displays and mostly congested by people waiting to try on the stuffs. Sales ppl more keen in sending leaflets than doing the real sales pitch and demo. Pricewise as fixed as u can find on any harvey normans or internet.

Dun bother, can't even arouse me to buy anything from sitex.

Don't need to go down at all. Go to Funan or any major electronics dept stores like Corks, HN, Challenge, Bext Donkey, etc and you get as good the deal or even better than Sitex.

Their showrooms will be almost empty and you can have all your time and attention by the sales staff there.

Apple product pricing is strictly controlled by Apple. Only bargain you will get is freebies (e.g. casing), free upgrades (e.g. RAM) thrown in.

To buy cheaper IPAD, there is 2 ways:

1. Buy from Apple store in T3 when fly out of Sg; or

2. Buy in Malaysia.

I bought 1 in Malaysia Challenger.

Can buy in Hong Kong if visiting there. My colleague bought 2 when was there a few months ago and it was cheaper by about S$150/set.

Yeah man...why are our stuff in our own country all so expensive? I feel so ashamed whenever the tourism board touts our land as being a shoppers paradise. Even my overseas colleagues shun shopping when they fly here for meetings.

I suppose I gonna get flak for saying this but I realy hope the pappies do more to deter overpricing and reduce costs of living. Cos no one I know really gets stuff from sg stores any more..most get their clothes, groceries and electronic appliances from MY, USA or Hongkong or even online. [:(]
