Does anyone notice... comparing iPhone 4 and 4S, when I knock on the phone surface, iPhone4 will return with solid knock. But on iPhone4S, there is a spring sound, Tng tng... when I knock it with finger or when I close the cover.

Perhaps, inside the phone, there is suspension to reduce crack on the phone.

N9 is really not bad.

iPhone 4s is more of its mature ecosystem, army of apps. Siri is just a novelty.

For IOS apps, i think ipod Touch is good enough, unless u need to be Always On.

GPS from smartphone cannot replace dedicated GPS yet.

Garmin favourites, junction view and quick connection to satellites are still worth the money for a separate device.

N9 GPS is not bad though, even without the above features. But Garmin still maintains a visible lead.

iOS GPS? 3.5" is really too small, and ipad 9.7" is too big.

I would think 7" is the perfect size, but Apple is not keen, maybe Samsung can consider for building ICE features into 7" android tablet. (e.g. connect to amp, GPS inbult, radio tuning, user interface optimsed for driving/ telephone dialing/ SMS with such a big screen)

If 7" tablet can be used as an ICE component, it will do many things:

1) Digital music in Flash , reduce CD storage. Quick search of music, more flexibility in playlist creation

2) On demand video , if you convert your DVD, VCD, avi.... and store in 7" tablet

3) More responsive input for GPS, there is an optimum size for user input, and 3.5" is not that convenient to enter destination via QWERTY keyboard

4) standardize interface connection to car amp (If this materialise, it would be good). We can have IOS/ android/ WP (or whatever smartphone OS that can reach critical mass) app built for DSP, staging. Tweaking via software, display graphs will be easy.

5) congestion info, wireless download real time.

6) capable local software developers (I quite like gothere) can utilise LTA data to suggest routes and quick navigation , decision making by driver (later version can be voice input)

using 7" tablet (especially if it has data connection) as car computer present more capabilities than just a simple location/ route planning device.

Actually.. you just need an audio output into your car's HU.. Unless you want to show movies to those in car LCD screen to entertain passangers..

Yes, u can, u can get 80 - 85% of things done by getting ipad and connect via 3.5mm headphone connector.

But a 7" tablet with quick docking as a frontend to a 2Din unit lobang, it is much more useful, i feel, and cheaper and more power, than Alpine, Pioneer, or whatever fanciful HU.

talking about Apps....i really dunno what other useful apps to dl...all the same to me. so far only use it to check parking, buses and weather.

to me, android or ios doesnt matter so i go for the one i need to pay lesser.

app games are quite boring...the playing style is almost the same just different story and skins.
