Happily1986 5th Gear November 29, 2011 Share November 29, 2011 you see having better processor doesn't mean its better. you dont need a dual core when your OS run very smooth on single core. Performance and usability is actual Andriod not Samsung. basically its mean. N9 > SGS2 Andriod > Meegoo [laugh] [hur] ↡ Advertisement
Joseph22 Turbocharged November 29, 2011 Share November 29, 2011 [laugh] [hur] obviously you didnt read properly. we are talking about the review he posted in the link. IF running the same OS. N9 is better than SGS2 base on the review.
Ben5266 Supercharged November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 Yes shutter speed is a bit slow.. but the pictures are quite decent.. Now, if only I can find a brand new set of N95 8GB.. coincidentally... my Samsung digicam also very slow at focusing. Perhaps they are still new in this segment. Pokyman 1st Gear November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 coincidentally... my Samsung digicam also very slow at focusing. Perhaps they are still new in this segment. i rather have the shutter speed faster and a 5mp camera than a slow shutter speed and a 8mp camera, for a smartphone that is. .... Pokyman 1st Gear November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 i crack my ip4 yet no official apple repair to turn to , except BS telco penalty terms might as well get a new ip , is ip on same svc std as 7-11 $50 hp? yes bro, there is no oficial Apple stores for repair... IPhone cannot be repaired HERE officially.... . There is no warranty covering cracked screens ... You pay SGD 350 for a 1-1 change (and it is a blardy recon set!!!!) I know coz i changed my iphone 4 5 times ..... yes, FIVE TIMES ... within 1 year .... out of that, i had to pay 350 SGD twice First 350 was for the cracked front screen. Second was because water went in the charger area. the last 3 times were due to faulty home button, constant resetting of phone automatically, cannot switch off ... Sdf5725 1st Gear November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 you considered lucky? or... my sis took more than 30 minutes to figure out why her new ipad2 cannot rotate the screen when the unit turn 90 degree last night.
Ben5266 Supercharged November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 i rather have the shutter speed faster and a 5mp camera than a slow shutter speed and a 8mp camera, for a smartphone that is. .... Ya lor... it is even slower than my 6 year old, 5MP Nikon. And to make it slim, the battery could last for about 100 shots only. very ma fan.
Topspin 2nd Gear November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 you earn money by selling the Iphone 4S and get a N9. signing N9 you actually spend a lot more money. I will be facing a similar situation next month as well. Direct recontract to N9 still require me to pay about $150 for the phone but after selling off my 1 year old N8, I would be able to earn an extra $50. So, if I go the other longer route....buy then sell contract iPhone - buy hardware N9 -sell old N8...do you think it will be better than the other route? Topspin 2nd Gear November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 I used it for the very first time today. Get me to sungei kadut without problem. Calculation of route was like almost immediate. When I am not following its way, it changes to new route immediate after I pass the junction. Too bad, the screen is 3.9" and we are used to 5" GPS. Also no junction view. ... hey... are we reviewing a phone or GPS... With assisted GPS, the N8 fast to lock on to GPS but if you switch off the A-GPS like when you are in foreign country, the navigation is not too useful anymore because GPS lock becomes rather slow. Happily1986 5th Gear November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 obviously you didnt read properly. we are talking about the review he posted in the link. IF running the same OS. N9 is better than SGS2 base on the review. did the reviewer manage to review the two phones based on the fact that two phones were running android at the same time? no. Just for you, i scanned the whole article and ironically i saw the reviewer write, the GS2 is a better bet. So yes, you are just having paper talk. N9 is better than SGS2 is just what you think, kapish?

Happily1986 5th Gear November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 Pjp if you scan the whole article. you will had notice, he chose GS2 because of Andriod and not phone?? so like that you drew your conclusion? not farfetched? Like you mentioned, N9 will be better than SGS2 if both are running Android or whatever OS? Question is, does this have a basis? Anyway i find it highly sceptical. N9 seems to be a good phone amidst quite a few rubbish smart phones Nokia has come up wtih, no doubt about it. To proclaim that it is in the league of SGS2 (and by extension, iPhone 4/4s), i am sceptical. Also with regards to Meego, we need to have proof of what Nokia is going to do with it. Apple and Goodle regularly publish whitepapers and roadmaps of their OS so that app developers can expect certain changes or even anticipate releases of SDKs that embrace latest capabilities (e.g. with Android 2.2 froyo, app developers can rewrite their apps to operate from SDcard rather than just from internal memory). I have not seen such roadmaps from Nokia yet. And remember that sometimes when it comes to user choice, one of the question they ask is will there be quite a few apps to use or will they end up like BB (left in the dust). App developers and Users are like the chicken and egg conundrum. Should i develop content first and wait for consumers and should the consumers wait for more app developers to come in? By not being transparent with their roadmaps, Nokia is seriously impeding their marketing efforts. Furthermore they have like 3 platforms now? Meego, WP7 and Symbian. How is the diversification in efforts like? Maybe Symbian is bye bye from smartphones. Okay how's the focus like between Meego and WP7? I don't know. Joseph22 Turbocharged November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 My conclusion that the what the article is saying N9>SGS2 whole Andriod > Meego on the following. In the article, On the phone hardware itself, N9 win all but 1 category (which is processor) which is 3 out of 4 while the things SGS2 win are nothing to do with the phone itself, but more on the OS. So you tell me, is the article not saying as a phone, N9 is better than SGS2. however, since smart phone is all about OS. then obviously, its a safer bet to get one that is well support since Meegoo is consider a EOL model. Now you can be skeptical on the phone, but from the very begining I am just summarising what the article is saying. Hence, You dont have to be so defensive. so like that you drew your conclusion? not farfetched? Like you mentioned, N9 will be better than SGS2 if both are running Android or whatever OS? Ben5266 Supercharged November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 Actually, N9 copied a lot from iPhone. 1. Microsim 2. Unremoveable battery 3. No SD slot 4. No support flash 5. Linux based. Hopefully Better stability like iOS and Android. improvement over iPhone 1. No home button. No more unresponsive button issue. 2. No need iTune or PC suite sw in PC. Just plug and play. 3. Sw update via OTA. "PC free" 4. Voice navigator ... It should picks up consumers who don't bother about Apps. ↡ Advertisement
