HP_Lee 5th Gear October 9, 2012 Share October 9, 2012 I was told by Chevrolet technician, playing with the manual grear will increase a lot more fuel consumption... true? Anyway, my 1.6 (A) LS is at 9.5 to 10 KM/liter. How about you guys? Bro not really. Manual mode, I hit around 11.9 - 12.6km/L. Whereas Auto mode is about 11.5km/L. This achievement is base on 30% on roads with traffic and 70% highway. The problem with manual mode , people like to hold at lower gear to long and resulted high FC. I don't drag gears and tend to switch to higher gear in shortest time. Remember, if you drive in manual mode, is yourself controlling change of gears. Manual is great of overtaking. ↡ Advertisement
