Brake Disc Warpped can claim under warranty from PI?

After 33Kkm, I think that my brake rotor disc is warpped (New set of tyres with balancing and allignment). Steering vibrant during high speed. Has anyone claim it under warranty from PI workshop? I claimed before from Honda AD during warranty period. From AD, normally they just change a new set of disc. I am not sure how easy to claim from PI's workshop. My PI workshop is Spark Care Centre. Maybe PI's workshop just do the skimming? Thx in adv for sharing.

The feeling of disc warp is steering vibrate when you hit your brake.high speed steering vibrate is balancing not done properly.

Years back, I was not able to claim for warped discs from Tan Chong during warranty period. They were classified as wear-and-tear items.

Warped disc is very uncommon and very unlikely. It's more like particles on your brake pads get stuck to your disc causing uneven surface. Get it skimmed should do the trick.

Thx for sharing. I will check one more time with M'sia workshop. This is 2nd time, I lost confident with S'pore tyre workshops. 1st time was change 4 new set tyres and balancing on previous accord. After drving above 100km/hr, the steering vibrate like hell. Went back the workshop, they said you will normally drive below 100km/hr in SG. I gave up and counter checked in M'sia workshop, the balancing all out. The technician says if you are not using good balancing machine and the machine needs calibration from time to time.

This is 2nd time feel the vibration at above 140km/hr. I actually wanna give credit to the S'pore workshop but now doubt it. Like all say, maybe better do one more balancing checking. Will find my trusted workshop in M'sia. Hope this is the problem to save my deeper problem if it is warpping disc case.

I did change the rotor disc on my previous accord. The rotor disc seems inferior qualilty after 15kkm run. Same happens to my brother in law. May be it is the mfg batching problem. If too earlier with warpping problem, I think that it shall not be happening. I am very much aware of not to wash car especially shotting the cold water on your rotor disc after running long hr. As a result, I normally send my car to wash when just start to drive the car.

Rotor warped usually because of our ignorance...sorry to say..

Happen to me before and change a set after going normal speed 80/90 and applying the brakes can feel the slight bump on the brake pedal and car swerved to left side ...means the left side warped..

Just sharing as my 2 cents here..dont mean to offend anybody..

In theory after a long drive and when parking dont straight away spray water to your brake system..3/4 of the rotor will be in the shape and 1/4 of it where the caliper is will grip and caused warped..

Raining will not usually caused warped as the temperature is maintain during driving..

Are you sure? I service with Borneo since day one. Front pair and left pair of brake pads, they want to charge me for changing. In the end i went outside to change using original parts from stockist. Warranty not affected.

There could be 3 scenarios.

- Balancing was not done properly. You can go to South East or Leong Seng to verify

- There is something wrong with 1 of your front rims. This can be easily verified during tyre/rim balancing.

- There's something wrong with the tyres. This seldom happens if you use well known brands of tyres such as BS or Michelin.

For disc rotor, it's pretty strange as mine (CL7R) can last 165km before I need to change the front rotors. I would suggest that either you go to a new workshop or bring in your parts to make sure you get the OEM replacement.

Just done the balancing for 4 tyres and all out! Cheap (RM20) and good. Why S'pore tyres shop done the lousy balancing. Drove 150km/hr, it did not vibrate when braking :).
