Ahtong 1st Gear November 22, 2011 Share November 22, 2011 Maybe reality is very different, but America is said to be a land of opportunities and the American dream is that people can make it big regardless of background if they work hard. So what is the Singaporean dream? - Lower expectations and live frugally? - Work maximum hours for minimum pay? - Pray that your house get SERS / Enbloc? - Strike toto? ↡ Advertisement

America also invaded Middle East because they say want to "liberate" the people there from dictators and spread democracy and freedom. Korea, Vietnam last time also same excuse, democracy. Now, they also want to bring "freedom and democracy" to Tibet. America land of opportunities? That's what they teach first graders in school. And only first graders believe it, together with Santa Claus and Tooth Fairy. Singapore also not much different, bro. But they love to tell us that everything is possible as long as you work hard. That is why they LOVE PAP members and ministers with rags-to-riches background, like Chan Chun Sing and Lim Hng Khiang. Can use them as poster children to spread their "land of opportunity" BS.
