Double confirm the service at Woodlands branch suxs big time. Went there for oil change service recently and somehow i felt i am not a customer but someone who owe them $$$!!!!

 

Strongly not recommended at this AS branch. :angry:

I went to Wlds AS afew mths back, the service guys dont seem to know the correct part to replace & also given me a wrong advise ?

Maybe they dont specialise in a particular model ( they service several models, makes...)

Luckily i went check & ask other WS. KM, also confirmed their advise is wrong

 

plus their (AS) customer service suxs, like i owe them big time

They forget that a "dissatisfied" customer will never walk into the same workshop a second time

 

In the end I went back KM, service adviser is gd & they really know their stuff

price wise is almost the same (at least i feel i am a customer)

 

My advise, go do your own homework, know your own car parts/ part numbers/ pricing, shop around & ask for advise

I am sure there are better ones

which woodlands AS? The one at the woodlands industrial park or yewtee industrial? i'm intending to send car for servicing at AS.

the mechanics i felt most comfortable with was AutoBac..but they a bit too exp liao. Every time want to change something they say no need, want to buy Hurricane filter they say no use..but i bought anyway...LOL. Also when i was looking for tyres, they straight away recommend me the best tyres, XM2 (back then just release, only a few WS have) instead of pushing other older models and lousier brands (like other WS, pushing Firestone, Yoko DB or even the older XM1). Cost difference only a few dollars and some even more expensive. One of my shock absorber leak (leak very little only), they let me know suggesting to replace cause ride will be bumpy (quote very ex though) unlike other WS say its dangerous and can cause accident!!!!.

 

Other WS very bad, one very famous one even say my brakes juttering want to skim the dics, drove out and test, can feel something...when to another WS, found got lots of sand and dirt, airgun blow it away (a lot of sand) and test brakes, its tyre screeching prefect

 

This was after i replace my whole aircon (one, they claim one problem after another) with them.....later read forum that my aircon not the issue (can operate very cold..but suddenly stop...sometimes can restart), kena con and move on...but did not expect to kena con by famous WS in AMK, especially when i pay premium for their service.

Autobacs price sky high unless pocket very deep.

Or do not give in to their hard sell tactics..

They do have good and honest mechanics there who serviced my car previously.

They do tell me what issues i have, replace at AB how much if not can do it outside AB.

The question is if you find a mechanic at AB, what are the chances of you able to get the same mechanic to service your car the next time.

Plus they are rotated over BB, Ubi and Loyang..

I just know that their labour fees is not cheap, they charge every task they do.

u mean KM or AS? Its sounds more like KM standard to charge every labour cost for each and every job they do.

AD will still charge you accordingly . . .

I had used Autosaver for many car servicing . . . . . they will tell you things to be done, and also suggest additional item to replace.

 

Up to the owner to accept or reject their recommendation.
