Is this considered parking at service road?

I was going to have dinner at AMK Botak Jones this evening but when I turned into the carpark in front of the HDB block, all the lots were taken, so I waited in my car for a lot to free up.

 

Already saw this auntie from Chubb walking around with what looks like a machine used for issuing summons. Nothing to do with me I thought.

 

Who knows, she came over and knocked on my window.

 

auntie: Sir, you cannot park here.

me: I'm just waiting for a lot.

auntie: This is a service road, you cannot park here.

me: Is it? I thought this is a carpark? If I dont wait for a lot here, where should I go? (already sounding pek chek)

auntie: You just cannot park here. I dont want to argue with you. (auntie walks off saying some stuff I cannot discern, meanwhile keying in something on her machine) Saw her driving off in her Chubb civic later.

 

So what the heck did I do wrong here? Am I going to get a summon for this?

 

The sign at the road clearly states this is a carpark. I wasnt blocking the way. Who the hell is the auntie from Chubb anyway?
