the selling point of the cars are not really into power (bhp) but rather the handling capabilities of the car...RWD / drifter etc..

Latest News! Someone spotted Subara BRZ behind Ice Cold beer! Speculated that it belong to MI boss.

Good news that it has passed LTA clearance and is road legal. They should be launching in early April.

Bad news that it start from $178K as mentioned by early forumers. Not as affordable as Subara and Toyota has envisoned it to be :(

The Toyota 86 is expected to sell between 45K-50K here in OZ. Very good as it doesn't attract luxury tax :)

Would certainly consider it for a second car. But we'll need to test drive it first!!!

Look wasn't one bit inspiring for me. Such a pity, it doesn't even look better than a Koup IMO.

I know this car isn't about looks, but still a disappointment.

An Altis already > 100k

Do u mean u won't pay > 100k for the COE of the GT86 ??

heres the formula from lta

x+ 0.2*x + 0.07*x + x+ 140+coe + dealer's delight

if omv is 30k , u pay basic 68,240 + coe + dealer's delight

100k is possible

COE for CAT B just breached $80K! Now is $82K and expected to continue rising due to quota cut in COE.

We commoners can forget about this great car unless we migrate [wave]

Better, but still not nice looking, & I am trying to like it. The lines & surface of the bonnet is too busy & doesn't flow. The headlights doesn't bland in.

Looks seriously like an average student work.

Why can't Toyota, such a big company, hire some decent designers. The LFA looks not bad, why can't they use the same designer or something.

But seriously, why one should choose this instead of the better looking 370Z (although the 350z looks better) with more power.

Some bros here are enjoying actual affordable cars & housings oversea, & rising kids are not money sinks to various tuition centers & enrichment courses. [:p]

Have to give up on local delight though.

If Toyota models are good looking, Lexus will have a hard time running for their dough. In the eyes of most people, Toyota is reputable brand. They can't be sabo-ing themselves.
