I think that is because it is the cheapest japanese made luxury car... [:p]

BTW, any cefiro owner here ever change their fuel filter? Some advise needed, call up Nissan service to enquire, they told me no need to change, they said sometimes like the filter will last forever!!!

I check with my own mechanic, they quote me $400 plus as this filter come in as a whole assembly with the motor!

Anyone can advise?

Mine is a 2006 2.3L

Just a quick check with Cefiro owners, if anyone had replaced the shift knob (gear knob) before?

Can it be removed by turning it or it is complete with the shift stalk as well ?

Appreciate your advice.

Thank you !

My friend also bought a '06 Cefiro recently. Upon finding out that it's leaking almost everywhere he sold it off and got a '06 FD1 Civic. Only problem with it is the engine leaking some oil. He spent less dan $20 to buy a bottle of engine stop leak to minimize the leaking. I think he will wait till next service to change to a thicker engine oil.

We feel that 2 years left to scrap just heck care. If radiator leak(touch wood) I will suggest he get those radiator stop leak or sealer to minimize it. Just have to standby engine oil and water in the car in case the levels drop too low. 2 years left no point spending so much on replacement parts.

well, I sort of like that car with it spacious interiors....and my wife loves it due to her serious motion sickness which she would not have it with this car...and the amount I spent so far still quite cheap considering I brought most parts online and only paid labour to install it...

I just don wanna drive halfway and the car breakdown on the road, worse on expressway which I'm sure gonna get cursed by other road user for causing jam on the road.

hahaha

Hi E3ugene,

Thanks for the advise. Yes I figured out the removal of the gear knob eventually, it is secured by a clip after removing the chrome cover.

Sorry to hear about the list of repair you had with your Cefiro.

My ride is now coming to 8.5 years with mileage 240,000km, and maintained by TC. Touch wood......it is definitely more reliable to my last ride !

I agree fully that cefiro offers a very comfortable ride and its actually a rather low maintenance jap car. If you can keep it till coe expires.

Btw, anyone knows where to buy cheap pair of chrome bumpers (at the back of the rear bumper) for 2006 upwards model? I know of supplier selling at $55 (+GST) per side.

Anyone can help? recon ones also can.

Tks

when was that and how much?

Early this year.

I updated map to newer version, $100 plus (in 2014)

And changed my faulty GPS antenna, $70 (this year).

After that, Tan separately helped me to hide my car cam cable free of charge.
