Err, 1 years increase by 100K. [:p]

Should be 5.7M in 2016 from 5.2M in 2011.

10M will sink this island for sure! -_-

5.2 in 2011 but only 3m in 2003/2004 if i'm not wrong

100k is too little an estimate

It's not that they can't solve problems, it's because they are yes man and would not speak up in order to keep their jobs and salary.

Unfortunately, the recent election shows that there's no guarantee anymore for them.

I agree!!

And from now until 2014, they will still continue to bring in even more FTs/FWs. Good luck.

If "they" include all designers/decision-makers involved in giving us the F-U train system etc, ultimately the ministers are answerable............... all those below the rank of ministers are maybe 'yes' men who care more for the rice bowl, bonuses, promotions etc, but the one at the top cant deny responsibility and accountabilities. Yet the top guys get the highest pays, not only in the food chain, but in the whole world.

Agreed!

The million-dollar ministers cant excuse themselves by saying they only take expert advice from traffic planners etc, what you mentioned are no-brainer considerations for ministers to question the planners before making any decision on what the planners recommend.

No wonder the CEO still keep her job............ they keep her so that all the blames can be passed on to her.......... scapegoat (but getting good pays for being that)

Comfort Delgro, Saw Phaik Hwa, SMRT.

SMRT: CEO stupdity discount?

Wonder if analysts will be building into their models, the assumption that SMRT chief executive Saw Phaik Hwa will continue making stupid remarks that upset commuters, thereby making it harder for SMRT (and Delgro) to get their desired fare rises? Will they also make the assumption that such gaffes reflect her inability to manage a public transport company?

In a recent ST report, the SMRT CEO commented that the MRT system is

Even they did improve the public transport, but if they continue to increase the population here also no use. [rolleyes]

Actually i'm referring to the ministers who are yes man.

And of course that active problem solving part costs many times more than passive prevention of corruption, and peasants in sgp really can't afford liao, so go home LLST lah..... :D
