Thaiyotakamli Supersonic November 28, 2011 Share November 28, 2011 That is true. When I visited Korea outlets, most of the shop are not cheap. But I still manage to get a laptop bag from Samsonite for ~S$30. Others brand like Nike, Levis are not much cheaper than here during sale. You can easily get a cheaper Nike shoe at Queensway shopping center. U talkin about yeoju premium outlet?? Its nice outlets with cold weather :)
Wt_know Supersonic November 28, 2011 Share November 28, 2011 (edited) if the price can match USA premium outlets which is at least 50% off retail price for non latest product + SGD to MYR currency exchange, it will highly be successful although it is 2hrs drive away from spore, but it will give more good reasons for sporean to spend 2D/1N for a weekend getaway Edited November 28, 2011 by Wt_know
Voodooman Supersonic November 28, 2011 Share November 28, 2011 Did you go by Tuas or Causeway? Did you went there (on the day you took this video) or just passing by? You can go via both tuas or causeway, the outlet is located about 10 minutes from the 2nd toll station (the one whereby you collect a ticket without having to pay if you are not using touch and go), if you are travelling via causeway. Viceroymenthol 6th Gear November 30, 2011 Share November 30, 2011 (edited) I doubt the Johor outlet will be as cheaper as those in the States for American branded products. If you have visited Korean oulet store, they are not as cheap too. Reason being goods will have to be priced at a discount to main street stores but too deep a discount would cheapen the brand. So don't expect to buy Levi, Kate Spade, Gap, Nike, Seven of all Mankind... at rock bottom prices... States will continue to offer superior outlet's prices as normal prices at Macy's can be as much as 50% cheaper than Orchard Road's prices for some products.... Hope I am wrong, would love some good shopping with some carbon burning exercise thrown in. At desert hills premium outlet, I bought 7 for all mankind, true religion for less than US$200 each. I bought rock & republic at US$170 each at the Off 5th (Saks outlet) also at desert hills. I bought few pairs of Tod's at US$150- US$300. Prada shoes at US$200-US$400. Ferragamo at US$300. All at desert hills. All at least 20% to 30% cheaper than the premium outlets near Tokyo and Seoul. Let's see how much these sell for at Johor. I did a comparison for the prada coat i bought at HK SPACE outlet US$1000 compared to the same coat sold at prada desert hills US$650. I also did a comparison with the Space and The Mall outlets near Florence, Italy, because of exchange rate then, Italy was cheaper than Desert Hills. Same for brands like Bottega, Dior, YSL, so conclusion is that Desert Hills and Florence are the world's cheapest premium outlets. Passion 5th Gear April 11, 2013 Share April 11, 2013 Anyone been there recently? How's the state now after ~1+ year opening? Been there recently, or 2 days ago. Things not really cheap. I also dont know what is term as branded. Adidas and Nike also branded to them? Even cotton on also branded? Waste of time if you ask me. If really want branded, Hong Kong is the nearest to singapore to get branded. If not will be europe.
