talking about Islam than other religion such as christianity or buddism or taoism etc..?

during conversation when friends and colleagues who are christians and buddist, some of us who are non-believers will always try throw questions about their religion.....and all of us will engage in quite an interesting debate.

but when it comes to talking with our muslim friends/colleagues, we are always very cautious about what we say?

Why is it?

Just like you will be careful when talking to a colleague who is sensitive to her weight and BO.

But then not all office colleagues are as careful as you because they are not afraid to talk out loud.

Each human like to take advantage of each other. The strong will makan the weak.

If you think u r weak, talking to someone stronger....then of course you have to watch your tongue. No need religion. Talk about weight, BO, GF BF, money, sex.....will also need to have tact and skills.

I believe too little literature translated into other languages. So few people know enough to discuss confidently/diplomatically about it. Example: a Haji told us in Mecca he was preached hatred and violence. He could not understand how his religion could be preach like that over there. That sure makes it more difficult for layman outside to understand.

Your question is a valid one, I see nothing wrong with it

I do not shy away from talking and debating about religion with Muslim friends, as long as I do not try to convert them and put down their religion

talking and discussing is very different from evangelising and saying your own religion is better

the other reason I believe is that as most of us are much more familiar with Christianity and Asian religions/theology - we are better able to discuss such topics. None of us are very familiar with Islam or the Quran, so how do you debate about something you know nothing about?

debating about something you know nothing about is reserved for the internet and Mycarforum - where everyone is an expert at everything

Not saying you have but many bros have kinda hinted that you are walking on thin ice if you still want to go down this path.

If it is the mod "awarding" you the "hat trick", afterwhich you may be thinking of a new nick to re-register then not that bad but if it is the I*D taking an interest then good luck.

If you are a local you should know the limits of free speech ends when religion or race is involved.

If you aren't a local then go read up on our history first then contemplate if you still want talk about such stuff.

Don't take this wrongly but please think before posting such a topic again.

Cheers!
