Vulcann 6th Gear November 8, 2011 Share November 8, 2011 Locally or overseas, very highly unlikely I will allow total strangers hitch a ride: 防人之心不可无 害人之心不可有。 That said, must see circumstances. No way I will stop to allow a few burly unknown men in the wee hours of the morning to come onboard but if I see school children getting drenched by the road side, I will most probably offer them a ride ↡ Advertisement
Tom_kkh 1st Gear November 8, 2011 Share November 8, 2011 singapore a few times, malaysia never! if like your case, i would only stop, wind down window and give him RM50 ask him take cab to custom and walk over. that is the best i will do to fellow singaporean in malaysia, if he is one at the first place. Beehive3783 Turbocharged November 8, 2011 Share November 8, 2011 The security guard at my previous company got ambushed before in JB. Typical roadside breakdown plea. He stopped to help out and ended up getting robbed and beaten up after several men appeared from the bushes by the roadside. He received several stitches to the head. Jman888 Moderator November 8, 2011 Share November 8, 2011 Cham-cham but the one who flagged were gals. Guys hiding in the bushes, appear after I stopped. Very clever these children nowadays. i gave a lift to a mystery woman while we were driving from sydney to gold coast, in the middle of the nigh and middle of no where, this woman jump out from the dark and hitch (she claim her car ran into the bush, believe she was drunk). after sending her back to the next town 20km away, we then realised what happen if there were people hiding in the bush [sweatdrop]

Dwoon 1st Gear November 8, 2011 Share November 8, 2011 Same as you in my younger days..... during the vacation period in UK, gave lifts to hitch-hikers. Sometime females, sometimes males..... But looking back, it was a risky thing to do. Even if it were a lone female, if they cry rape/molest...... you'll be done for..... So nope, never again wherever it may be.
