err are you using resources that were created specifically for hdpi devices? differences in resolution is a big deal apparently.

wonder if the same resolution problem exists for the Sygic also ??

Just check on their website if they support your phone before you buy it.

Google for it, thete is a guide on how to work around the resolutiom thing. you simply need to rename 5 or 6 folder name to your resolution.. I did it for my razr when I change from desire...

Btw, just to share, I use papago on my desire and like it a lot, then when I change to razr and face the "unsupported resolution"(before I found the fix), I tried aura... After tryimg out aura for a while, I actually prefer aura then papago for 1 simple reason... Its damn fast.. It lock on within 3-5secs and the reroute is like immediately...

hi ! thanks for the tip ... did and it the papago can now work on my Note.

however, the display occupies only abt 4/4 of the Note's screen and the touch sensitivity is quite poor ... as if the "buttons" are slightly off center.

Using galaxy s. Recent trip to japan used the built in gps with pre cached google map, very accurate and satellite logon.

Go youtube on how to upload maps before trip, so as not to incur the oversea data charge.

I'm using this Sygic Navigation too.. good thing is, there is seamless transfer between maps of neighbouring country. Meaning, you don't need to change the map when you cross the causeway..

Fully agreed with the seamless transfer between sgp and mal. I am on sygic currently.

I have one novice question as regards to sygic. I have set up the speed camera alert and i would say it give me 99% accuracy till date pertain to those camera situated at traffic junction. However How about those "cop on top" which i have encountered every morning on aye toward tuas west. No "alarm" sound off from sygic for those "cop of top". How do i go around to do the setting, anyone know?

I used both Papago X5 and Sygic before. Currently on Sygic as my papago keeps FC.

Here's my views:

Papago X5

Pros

1) Brilliant Junction view

2) I find it's UI easier to use than sygic

3) Frequent map and POI updates as it uses maps from MFM or MSM

4) Details such as 3D landmarks/buildings on maps

Cons

1) Not that easy to crack if you are using friendly version.

2) Keeps FC for me.

Sygic

Pros

1) Easy to install

2) POIs and maps are easy to update using downloader

Cons

1) Junction view not as good as Papago X5 as it only shows plan graphic without any road names/exit signs

2) Map and poi updates not as frequent as Papago

My sygic do give me street names. I don't know what is the version i have in my mobile. Anyway my sygic only sound out "exit 20" instead of the exit name. My previous nokia do give me the exit name and nummeric.
