Happily1986 5th Gear November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 so is the SG map included in the d/l ? any charges for map updates ? There's Sygic Navigation also. Once you purchase the app, app updates and map updates are free for life.
Shull Turbocharged November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 There's Sygic Navigation also. Once you purchase the app, app updates and map updates are free for life. I'm using this Sygic Navigation too.. good thing is, there is seamless transfer between maps of neighbouring country. Meaning, you don't need to change the map when you cross the causeway.. BoneStock 5th Gear November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 I have both papago and sygic installed on my Samsung. Free papago maps can downloaded from MFM. For sygic you can use its downloader to download maps for many countries. Personally I feel sygic is better as the graphics are nicer and the maps contain more details. For android apps, backward compatibility is a problem especially when it comes to Eclair. Forward compatibility is generally problem free. If the app is designed for Froyo and later, should be no problem. I can install apps meant for Honeycomb in Gingerbread too so should be alright. Dwoon 1st Gear November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 Errr... is it renamed as Auric? Sygic was pretty loudy and I deleted it. I now have Auric which is slightly better..... though Navfone has the Sgp & Malaysia combined maps for Idevices, for android, its only for Sgp. There's Sygic Navigation also. Grindcore888 Clutched November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 (edited) u downloaded the navisea.rar ? in summary - download the navisea.rar (170++mb) - once unpack after download, you should see NAVISEA folder (about 660++mb) - NAVISEA folder listing as attached1 - connect phone to pc/mac - copy entire NAVISEA onto your Samsung memory card (root of memory card) -including the .apk file - disconnect phone from pc/mac - on android phone, goto MyFiles - scroll & look for the APK filename - ok to install, done, open, enable GPS - launch PAPAGO-X5 (might be in chinese version) - pull up menu (you should see four colored option in chinese (if default launch in chinese) - click to RIGHT (arrow) icon - purple button (setting), select second option to ENGLISH, return - TEST -> POI Search -> type JUSCO -> select any link -> GO -> Set as destination should be it instructions link below How to install Edited November 4, 2011 by Grindcore888

Happily1986 5th Gear November 4, 2011 Share November 4, 2011 My Sygic don't seem to be stable leh. Crashed everytime i minimise it.. Hmmm, mine just lose GPS lock when i hit home button back to homescreen cos well my crappy Ace has paltry amounts of RAM and Android bumped some ram usage off from Sygic. But when i long press to get back in, it comes back. Yours is what version? Latest is 11.2.1 Mine is 11.2.
Biohazard 1st Gear November 5, 2011 Share November 5, 2011 I used both Papago X5 and Sygic before. Currently on Sygic as my papago keeps FC. Here's my views: Papago X5 Pros 1) Brilliant Junction view 2) I find it's UI easier to use than sygic 3) Frequent map and POI updates as it uses maps from MFM or MSM 4) Details such as 3D landmarks/buildings on maps Cons 1) Not that easy to crack if you are using friendly version. 2) Keeps FC for me. Sygic Pros 1) Easy to install 2) POIs and maps are easy to update using downloader Cons 1) Junction view not as good as Papago X5 as it only shows plan graphic without any road names/exit signs 2) Map and poi updates not as frequent as Papago ↡ Advertisement
