Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic November 1, 2011 Share November 1, 2011 just like the 'venice of punggol' which is a $225million longkang..u know who pay? Rain some more for few days and Punggol canal could turn into a floating market like Thailand floating market .....
Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic November 1, 2011 Share November 1, 2011 It's time to recall the boats given to the Thais. At sea, needs licence & registration number on every boat ... wonder inland need to register ... don't mine to be a 'boat ppl', today I float at Punggol, tomorrow, I will be at Yishun, next I will be at Bishan (heard they have also completed the canal there at Bishan Park 1) ... 13177 Hypersonic November 1, 2011 Share November 1, 2011 I think could be too many construction and road works going on, that's why flash flood will happen whenever there is heavy rain?!
Bystander50 5th Gear November 1, 2011 Share November 1, 2011 just like the 'venice of punggol' which is a $225million longkang..u know who pay? The project is a total waste of money. One hand we keep saying not enough land and have to reclaim. Next they go dig a big longkang and waste the land there. Since LHL says this is MBT's pet, does the 225million include the land cost? So how much reserves did he raid this time as he once said selling HDB/land cheap is akin to doing it?

Toapayohkid 1st Gear November 1, 2011 Share November 1, 2011 I think could be too many construction and road works going on, that's why flash flood will happen whenever there is heavy rain?! agree. construction and more concrete/road surface which don't allow water to percolate into the ground that easily and thus there is greater overflow. i'm actually surprised with so many flood incidents, no landslides so far touch wood. that one can be serious in built up areas. Curahee 1st Gear November 1, 2011 Share November 1, 2011 By using 225 million to build the long kang, it will trigger a price inflation of the flats in punggol... U notice after they announce the waterfront living, the price of bto project, flats in the area increase, that's a very good investment for the govt.
