Then i ask you..........in MHA.

Which holds a higher rank.

Assistant Director or Deputy Director ?????

Chief or Director ?????

[laugh]

Director means different things in different departments.

For CPIB and Prisons for eg, Director is the no.1 man of the organisation. Their head of branches may be called DDs or ADs.

In MOE, "Director" can be a very high level position. Like Director for Higher Education who basically formulates university and polytechnic policies.

In MTI, everyone has a "Director" in the job title. Graduates' entrance rank is Assistant Director.

In summary, "Director" probably won't be too small. But depending on the organisation, there's a world of difference among them.
