MCF's Cool n Unique Cars list.....

Not sure if there is already a list. Actually what we put forward will neither be right or wrong, there is no absolute answer coz it's subjective. Car A may be cool and unique to me but not to other bros. Never mind, lets see if there are cars which receive majority votes.

 

For a start, what comes to mind immediately as cool? A Ferrari?? ---- to me though it's sizzling but not as cold as say a Range Rover Evogue.... maybe because there's nothing else doing what the Evogue does whereas a Ferrari has at least a few other supercars offering same type of sensations eg looks, speed, 2-seater, high performance, price....

 

At the point, there's nothing like the Evogue. Let us know if there's another car providing the same and what other cars you think are COOL??

i personally find a Evo wagon cool and practical. Same goes to Legacy wagon too.

Since i drive one of these wagons: thank you for appreciating this type of vehicles.

 

Talking about wagons, thier functional design if combined with eye-pleasing looks, and better still, some stealth power, make them quite a good choice for drivers who need space / look / performance. Even for those wagons which can provide only space / look, they are still good to own eg legacy wagon, impreza wagon, and a few condi wagons. (as you know, my wagon is quite weak in the 'look' department, honest )

anyway, i find the evoque very cool too. but i wont drive one, its more for wifey or rich taitai that sort of people.

 

i've always liked large four door sedans, those very sleek ones. but in today's world, maybe only the AM rapide and jaguar XJ is nice looking. comfortable, fast, looks, road presence, luxury all in one package.

I tend to agree that if you like large full size sedans, sleek ones are hard to find. Maybe this is due to the challanges in designing nice forms and shapes for large car bodies. I always feel that design such as the Rapide (more so that the new XJ, maybe I am biased towards low-slunged body?) is how a large 4/5 seater should look like. I had expected the Panamera to look better before it came into the market, till today i am still trying to 'get used to' its rear look from some angles.

 

The recently-superceded CLS looked good and had the technical sophistications and luxuries to go with its look. The Passat CC is a smaller version of such luxury cars.

 

At the same time, the 'bulky' Phantom though looks good in some ways, just couldnt be associated with the word 'COOL', maybe because it's to 'formal'??

 

On the other end: cars like Fiat 500, Copen, iCar have their own charms (ok, for housewives?) and are COOL.

other cooler big luxury / sports sedan i can think of. Audi A8 or particularly the A7 sportback (it is still essentially a sedan to me)

 

CLS is nice and refreshing. but utimately, i cannot seem to not relate it with bulky, clumpsy.. fat. though still nice.

 

for rolls royce, the baby RR ghost is quite nice for its shape and design. though underneath is just a bmw 7series.

 

yeah passat cc is nice, though people call it the poor man's CLS [laugh] i dont mind sia if i have the 2.0TSI or 3.6 AWD v6 version.
