everything in SG is imported. so i guess local produce quality doesn't make a big difference.

Its like the Chinese take away food in Western countries.

Once you eat Korean food in Korea you may not want to

eat Korean food in Food Courts anymore.

:D

Yes! I agree with you!

Korean food in Korea is so nice! They taste many times better than the Korean food in Singapore.

The BBQ meat, noodles, kimchi and etc is so nice!

? So speak english to them better? Or should i pretend to be a Tiong?

lol

No need to act as a China man. They hate them anyway Look at how they behave badly overseas.

We speak English to them. Those who couldnt understand will walk away. I usually will ask: Sorry, can you speak English? - when i need help for direction.

Koreans are v friendly n helpful n most young people can speak English. I only speak Chinese when they speak Chinese to me.

Btw, dun feel scare or paisay to ask if you are lost. I always get lost in my free n easy trip n i always ask for direction.

Most shops, transportation staff can speak English.

Bring a flask n fill with hot water for your kids to drink when they feel cold. Try not to stay outdoor for too long. Gyeongbokgong Palace is an outdoor attraction, wear thicker clothes that day. Walk further in is the korean museum (indoor).

just got back from Seoul last Dec....... did not really enjoy the whole 7 nights trip. I think the food is slightly more expensive than Tokyo. The

mrt charges is about the same as Tokyo - just remember not to occupy those blue sits meant for elderly or pregnant ladies and the lifts are also meant for elderly as well. Just prepared to walk and walk and walk and up the stairs as well - can be quite tiring taking the mrt.

The new Noryangjn fish market is also a let down - I do not want to comment too much but can try if you are a first timer. I spent around $500 (seafood + cooking) for 7 persons. I would rate 3 out of 10.

Most restaurants or cafe staff were bit snobbish when they ssw us coming in - they thought we are from mainland. The minute we speak Singlish the whole scenario change........auto better service and attention!!!!

Whoever going Korea now is very lucky.

The Chinese gov has stopped their people

going as tourists. No more crowds of badly

behaved, ill mannered, boorish, uncouth,

loud mouth China tourists.  [thumbsup]

:D
