Adrianli Hypersonic September 7, 2017 Share September 7, 2017 Expensive. I going oct too, with SQ direct flight about 550 When I booked in July, it was not this price for SQ. It was close to $700 range. Korean Air and Asiana also in the same range as SQ. The other one, Thai Air is slightly lower(Ard $600) with stopover at BKK. But its a 4-5 stopover. End up we chose MAS. Give them a chance. MAS send us an email and let us put in a price for option to upgrade to business class. So we put in an offer and hope for the best. They will let us know 48hrs before departure if they accepted our offer. ↡ Advertisement

But luckily i found ctrip offer about 540-550 only for sq but departure date early oct or nov. In the end chose early oct cos less cold and no need bring much luggage. I think MAS has one of the cheapest business class ticket to east asia. Hopefully u will got a good offer :) I dunno where to stay, maybe i am looking at lotte myeongdong, anyone stayed before?
Jamesc Hypersonic September 7, 2017 Share September 7, 2017 (edited) I stayed in many hotels around the world including Shangri-la, Marriott, Westin, Hilton, Sheraton, Hyatt but this is my most favourite hotel in the whole world and its in Seoul. https://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/Hotel_Review-g294197-d634779-Reviews-or20-Hotel_Benhur-Seoul.html I cut and paste some reviews not by me. The room was really nice - it had a huge plasma, a computer with the internet and a huge bathroom. The shower cabin could have been used as sauna (to 60C) and there was w jacuzzi bathtub. Besides (and that was a standard in every room), there was shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, hairspray and even aftershave and body lotion. Everything in big bottles, big enough for the whole stay. The room itself was nice; they had great amenities (shaving cream, toothbrush and paste, razors, lotions and shampoo, as well as in-room computer with free high-speed internet). The washroom was quite nice as well, with a rain shower and sauna. The hotel is good air-conditioner TV and light room controled by remote ----> high technology. (I don't know why all other hotels don't have remote lights.) There is a mini fridge. Daily complimentary 2 small cans of juice and 2 water bottles are left in the fridge. Large flat screen TV but mostly Korean speaking channels. Appreciate the men and women lotions, hair spray and gel, and toothpaste; however, these items are personal and should not be provided as family size for the next guest to use...unsanitary. Coffee and tea are complimentary on the coffee table. There is a hairdryer under the vanity. Breakfast has improved from previous stays, although still needs improvement. The room was far better than my expectations .... It had an in room PC with Wired as well as Wireless connectivity , Refrigerator,42 inch LCD, Hair Dryer and all the necessary toiletries .... The Bathroom is quite interesting and has a pre -installed Steam Bath (Jacuzzi) ..... The Staff Is very Friendly But speaks very little english ....Although I didnt Find that to be a problem at all , Since the staff is quite patient and is willing to help at all times ... There are a lot of Eating joints nearby like KFC,Mad Over Donuts Etc ... But I was more interested in the street food of Korean Culture ....Almost Within 2kms You may find more than 5 places to Hangout ... Like there's Yoido Park , Hangang River Cruise , 69 Building, Insadong (Market) etc..... If you are in a Jiffy but Wish to cover most part of the city then You must take the Seoul City Bus Tour ( 10,000 Won\person) it covers Around 34 Famous Stops and You can get the Bus From Gwangwamun Subway Station The location is not fantastic if all you want to do is shop and eat at Myeongdong and the TV only has Korean and Japanese channels but I appreciate local culture especially the educational videos but in Korean and Japanese with Korea subtitles. You got to try sulbing if you like bingsu Stayed at Frasers place central at 2 bedroom apartment. Pretty good place. Looks new. Took private tours with Colours of Korea for three days. Really pleased with the tour guide... at the end of the trip, I think we gave 3x the recommended amount of tips to the guide and driver for their service. Adrianli Hypersonic September 27, 2017 Share September 27, 2017 Countdown to two weeks before my trip. Have booked my JSA tour. They say it is still available despite the tension. But if UN closed it down, then no refunds. My itinerary and it is without the stupid precious stone shop visit. I hope it is for real.

Thaiyotakamli Supersonic October 3, 2017 Share October 3, 2017 I am paying more to Ibis leh. Also I am downgrading from a 4 star hotel(Ibis Styles Ambassador) to a 3 star hotel(Ibis Ambassador). Doesnt make sense right? Downgrade and pay more. I walk past ur hotel these few days. Good location beside myeongdong, u wont go hungry lol Downside i think drop off area no shelter so if rain could be a prob. But location is perfect, beside myeongdong, mrt and lotte dept store, walking distance to seoul station, namdaemun and chonggyechon stream and gyeongbuk palace. If u healthy enough also can walk to namsan tower hahaha

I'm heading out there next month, so now looking to change some K.won. Any bros here has a good recommendation for a money changer, which gives good rate? Trying my luck. ↡ Advertisement
