Inconsiderate Singaporeans drivers along NS Highway

Have seen innumerable Sillyporeans road hogging the lane 1 along NS at 110-150km/h when there's a long 'Dragon' following behind. It is damn dangerous when others needs to weave in & out of traffic or overtake using road shoulder.

Then there's this 'Kia Se' typo who keeps such a huge distance from the front vehicle that doubt any reigning soccer superstar could do a free kick fm where slow poke is & hit the car in front of it.

Lastly, sillyporean (70%) can't seem to know how to drive in the rain, why? At the slight hint of a drizzle, they'll slow down to 70-80km/h on lane 1!

All of the above causes huge congestion & inadvertently causes dangerous situations when there'll be overtaking from all sides.

Singaporeans mah, they think they drive 150km/h on NSE they are super duper fast... My fren came back from MY want to show off, telling me he drive 150-160... In my heart i laughing, Last time i tried 220km/h still have to give way to MY car.

so i am not alone in facing this. i want to add if you highbeam them, they might slow down instead.............no problem with malaysian cars

If you drive at 110-150kmh, best keep to the left-most lane on NS hwy. If you insist on staying on the right most lane, please keep a constant watch at the rear view mirror and the moment you see a fast approaching car from behind, even without any sign/signal from the driver, please move over and let him pass. To avoid having to keep constant watch in the rear view mirror and shift in and out for faster cars to pass, its easier to stay in the left-most lane.

These are the idiots that will say

I drive at 110 what and the speed limit is 110,

why should I give way? You speed, you are wrong.

I die die wont't give way.

taking about being inconsiderate...you are speeding...then suddenly lost control and crash to the other side of the road...killing the passenger in the car coming down the opposite direction...is this considered inconsiderate or it is just being label as reckless... [nod] [nod]

ha ha ha....I keep left not because I am considerate...but because I scare to die for no reason when car from the opposite side come crashing into me... [nod] [nod] at least you have more time to react keeping on the left....

Sometimes I wonder if any of you have driven on the NSHW. The likelihood of a Malaysian road hog on the right lane is as high as a Singaporean road hog. I had been blocked by a Malaysian *motorcycle* on the right lane before and he just plain refuse to give way.

Similarly, when it rains, the Malaysian cars slow down as much as most Singaporean cars, if not more so. I was stuck behind a Malaysian tour bus on the way down from Cameron at 50km/h, and not only was he blocking my lane, he was straddling into the oncoming lane as well to ensure I cannot overtake.

I dont know why people just like to focus on Singapore cars. I guess this is the ugliest Singaporean behaviour: the constant need to put down other Singaporeans to feel superior.

I use NSHW often and concur with the views of the majority here. No doubt there are also bad MY drivers, but proportionally, sgp drivers are worst off. [:)] There may be reasons (eg lack of practice etc) why sgp drivers behave this way, facts are facts and its not so much about putting down but stating our observations. In fact sgp govt did mention in recent years that sgp drivers need to drive in a more considerate / safe manner on NSHW.

If I was blocked on the NSH by a motorcycle who would not let me pass,

I would have to take a good look at myself and ask what I did wrong.

Afterall I am in a car and he is on a bike, one wrong move on his part

and he will be under my wheels. He must be super pissed wt me to take that risk.

Maybe you pissed him off, that is why he block you.

The bus at Cameron is another story, that area is prone to stone fall or the edge of the road sinking, for bus that is heavy, it is quite dangerous to drive near the edge, because if the road give away, the bus just plainly drop off the road.

Some MY driver may accidentally block you, but once you beam or turn signal right, most of it will give way. In my 10 years drive NSW, 80% that blatantly block the way is SG driver

I believe many motorists not on this MCF do not even know there is Lane 1, 2, 3, 4... On ther other hand, I believe better not have slow drivers speed up and cuddle trees with their cars.
