Happily1986 5th Gear October 30, 2011 Share October 30, 2011 If you are hearing this when the car is stationary and the parking brake is engaged, no need to worry. it is just the parking brake biting.
Unfair 3rd Gear October 30, 2011 Share October 30, 2011 When you go over uneven road or humps ? Likely to be your shock absorber bottoming out.

Sunnyday76 1st Gear October 31, 2011 Share October 31, 2011 Early this year, i had a squeaking sound whenever my car goes over a hump. Seems to come from behind. Initially suspected was my suspension problem, but my workshop checked and diagnosed suspensions all ok. Until this day, i still have this squeaking sound whenever I go over hump, but over time i've learnt to close one ear to it oredi although quite irritating at times. Did a quick google search and it appears that the "suspension bushings" or "rubber bushings from the sway bar or control arms" are the main culprits. Don't know how true this is though, whatever these are.. ↡ Advertisement
