Hi, anyone of u using this tyre?

I used them for abt 23k km now.. just wanna share my thoughts. If u drive aggressively during dry and wet weather, u may wanna give it a miss.

Comfort and noise is pretty good.

dry grip is ok as well.

Wet grip i'm not so confident with it as during heavy downpour i drive 70km/hr on straight expressway, go through water puddle and there lots of resistance, seems like the tyres really can't cut through the water well, but i have to qualify by saying i have not skidded on this tyre during wet weather as i did not drive 100+km and cut corner at 80-90km/hr in wet weather

If u drive slowly, this tyre is recommended for its low noise n comfort. Wanna have better confidence in wet weather, this ME01 not a good choice.

Price wise its cheap at less than $130 for 205/50r16

Thanks dude. may try out the ME01 . side track a bit, it seems that these days tires lifespan like getting shorter and shorter. last tim ei used to hear of people using for easily 40k up, but nowadays tires commonly are worn off after 30k. true or not ?

guys, what shop to buy Hankook tires ? Thanks...

What size are you looking at?

if 205/55/R16 then there are a few you can try. S1 Evo, V12 Evo and ME01.

I'm currently on S1 Evo. and its good.

ME01 Screw up tryes... Ditch them for a set of RE001 just after 5000KM....

Perviously had tried Hankook's RS02 & VR8S.. Both models give u the confidence of not fearing to drive in any road condition.

ME01s like TS said is only good for low noise and comfort.... <_<

just change two tire from Bridgestone RE001 to Hankook EVO V12 for my rear tire on Civic [;)]

It almost one month. I found very noisy for EVO V12 compare to RE001.

However, traction for Dry and Wet is acceptable. just bare with noise.

Dear Chivas, and All

Do you mean that me01 is bad?

I'm going to fit tomorrow five tires Hankook Ventus ME01 K114 of the size 205/55/R16 for my Kia Cerato Forte 2010, I think they are good comfort and low noise tires and I'm looking for comfort and low noise but I also want good dry grip as I live in Egypt where the weather is always sunny and shiny. Also what about wear? Do they wear fast and uneven.

My current tires are NEXEN which are the worst tires I have ever tried.

Please advice

Thanks and Regards

My current ride was BS RE050 , heard and read so much on HK V12, it's a performance tyre, ( meaning noisy ) if you're itchy backside like me, change and see for yourself, after less than 3 mths, I'm back to Sq one

The stats and report will say whatever they like coz they are paid to do so, unlike us the end-user who will experience the noise level, do check your car bearing prior to any installation, it may affect the noise level to a certain degree.

Upon a fren recommendation, I'm now using Dunlop Sport Maxx, quite similar to BS R050, but theis model already not longer in use, BS is using S001, a sport advance model.

Anyone bro using BS S001, can provide feedbacks ! Thx

Update on my ride (2 mths already)over these period of monsoon rain on tire.

Have changed new Hankook Evo V12 on my rear tire with BS RE001 (old) in the front.

Good traction on very wet and dry road. I guess it matches well. Driving it with absolute confident in very wet condition.

Nosie level is higher with rear Hankook tire compare to BS tire previously. Overall still satisfying

Me01 is not ideal for heavy raining days. Dry grip is ok, treadwear is ok also, should last 40kkm above no issue.if u r using in egypt that's hot n dry most of re time, this me01 is designed for such geographic. U shld use it in egypt

You are right. Wet got to be careful. Cannot compare to K 415, a much better tyre. My car skidded

when going up Genting in the wet.
