it depends, if you are the first car starting off at the traffic light junction at amk ave 1 and upper thomson, chances are you will tend to speed along that stretch especially if its a sunday. not sure if i was caught yesterday as there was another car on my right but them sure i was above the speed limit.

Well, all you can do now is hope that the cops were dozing at the time! And that that letter doesn't arrive in the mailbox!

Had a similiar scare at the same spot, but in the opposite direction. Saw the laser trained on my vehicle as I went past, letter never came though! Guess I was lucky. After that incident, am always wary around that area, and will follow the speed limit as much as possible. Good luck mate!

Kudos to the Fiat driver on the opposite side of lornie road flashing his headlights warning drivers of operation cop on top last friday morning.

Even thou I'm not speeding but I appreciate what you have done.

It has been a long time since I last saw a fellow Singaporean doing it.

Including your car will stall. [laugh]

Would be better if there's a device something like the HARM missile that can follow the electric pulse back to the radar unit and burn it up.

Instead of having a physical projectile, a higher pulse electronic wave would be sufficient.

Kaoz ! I wish my vehicle is installed with those eletromagnetic pulse. Press button all camera devices (belonging to them) will malfunction.

Even captured evidence also become void. LOL

This is better..............

get from another forum, not sure true or not.

Two British traffic patrol officers from North Berwick were involved in an unusual incident, while checking for speeding motorists on the A-1 Great North Road .

One of the officers (who are not named) used a hand-held radar device to check the speed of a vehicle approaching over the crest of a hill, and was surprised when the speed was recorded at over 300mph. The machine then stopped working and the officers were not able to reset it.

The radar had in fact latched on to a NATO Tornado fighter jet over the North Sea , which was engaged in a low-flying exercise over the Border district.

Back at police headquarters the chief constable fired off a stiff complaint to the RAF Liaison office.

Back came the reply in true laconic RAF style. 'Thank you for your message, which allows us to complete the file on this incident. You may be interested to know that the tactical computer in the Tornado had automatically locked on to your 'hostile radar equipment' and sent a jamming signal back to it. Furthermore, the Sidewinder Air-to-ground missiles aboard the fully-armed aircraft had also locked on to the target. Fortunately the Dutch pilot flying the Tornado responded to the missile status alert intelligently and was able to override the automatic protection system before the missile was launched and your hostile radar installation was destroyed.

er... looks fake.. because:

1) Sidewinder is an Air-To-Air and not Air-To-Ground

2) Sidewinder is heat seeking and not radar seeking

Even if RAF wants to have some British humour, they won't make such silly mistake.
