Hi bros/sis,

I have been using meguiars ultimate quick wax for a year and liked it's fast touch and go spray as it consumes little time. But recently, I got the chance to try out 3M perfect it paste wax and saw quite a difference. Though more time consuming, it produces a deeper wet gloss look compared to meguiars which brings out bright colours.

My vehicle is dark colour so it seems that 3M paste presents the car better. However I do note that the meguiars product I used was spray and wipe so in my assumption it would not be fair.

Thus a few question I have in mind is that would 3M perfect It liquid wax produce the same result as 3M paste wax?

I still like meguiars quick detailer but am not sure if I can use it with 3M paste wax given the chemicals for both products.

Cause if so, I may end up using meguiars quick detailer as a cleaning spray and 3M wax to wax the car.

Other findings;

Another thing to note though is that 3M paste wax had lesser dust stuck to the surface compared to meguiars which I notice attracts a consistent layer of dust. But in terms of touch, 3M paste would leave smudges due to paste wax. I am still waiting for rainy weathers to see if it has as much rain spots as meguiars cause the day it was applied, there was light rain and it hardly left any rain spots on the car.

So I hope anyone who have experience in using the above mentioned products can share your experiences with me. Thanks.

Best paste wax in durability that last u.p 6 months with one single application, my pick is collinite 476. Best spray wax, aquwax or optimum car wax.

Do you mean 3M Perfect-It Liquid Wax (bottle) or 3M Quick Wax (Spray)? If it's the former than I'm not sure it'll give the same effect as the formulation is different. It leans more towards providing better and longer protection as oppose to 3M paste which is more for looks. I've used the 3M paste and it almost at par with Collinite 476 in all terms. 3M Quick Wax is good for maintenance.

There's a saying, if you find something that you like just stick with it.

I agreed with BabyT..Both are different as in one paste and one spray wax..Durability will be different as well..Again..If you dun prep surface..Given the most durable wax..it will still not last as long as it claims..
