Kaer Neutral Newbie October 16, 2011 Share October 16, 2011 (edited) Date: 16 Oct 2011 Time: 11:00pm Location: Cross-Junction of Jurong East Central outside block 241 (Jurong East Ave 1) Hit and Run vehicle: Dark red car. Driver looked like a 50-60+ uncle; half bald. Car was also loaded with 3/4 other passengers (around 50-60+ year old). The dark red car was traveling along Jurong East Ave 1 and turned left at the cross-junction of Jurong East Central (outside block 241) towards Bukit Batok. The traffic condition was in favor (green man) for my sister to cross. The dark red car made a left turn without watching out for any pedestrian, knocked into her, didn't get off the car to check if she was ok and drove off. My sister had to limp 200m home. She mentioned there was a young chap who witnessed the whole accident. Slim hope but if you are reading this, please PM me. Would like to have at least a car plate number if you remember. I'm irked by such irresponsible driver. If you knock into ANYONE, you MUST stop the car immediately and check if the person is OK. Even if the person says he is ok, you need to provide your contact number should there be a need to seek medical attention. Such driver should be taken off the road. Thank you. [edit] cross junction! I wish her speedy recovery from her injury. No mention what was the time od the day it happened. No mention how was the visiblility at that point in time. No mention did she look out for the car before the accident. No mention if she was jay-walking (flashing green man sign). If she was a classic jay-walking, the witness may not be bothered to come forward. Based on what you had furnished: She could had jay-walked against the red man. Got hit by car with good sound-proofing. The driver thought was tree trunk, so drove off. Edited October 16, 2011 by Good-Carbuyer

Silver_blade Turbocharged October 17, 2011 Share October 17, 2011 Should make police report no matter whether anyone has spotted the accident. There may be a LTA cam somewhere that may have captured the accident. Better go have a medical check, get a report and file a police report need to be made. Tarquin 1st Gear October 17, 2011 Share October 17, 2011 Running off after hitting a car can clear the mind..however, hitting a person is whole different story...whether in the wrong or right it is always prudent to stop and check...also it was mentioned the person (TS sister) was knocked off...should be quite a strong hit and never noticed?? Hope you get the culprit...
2BDriver Hypersonic October 17, 2011 Share October 17, 2011 Thank you all for the concerns. :) My sis said she is ok but will urge her to see a doc and file a police report. I hope that driver will not kill someone next. In all police investigation needs medical report to proof injuries, send your sister for medical check-up for this hit-run evidence of injury, as well as any other hiden injury that the doctor might finds for benefit of your sister whom might not aware of herself. Brings this medical report to the police and file her statements correctly, crossing your fingers that any one or more kind soul would step forward to be witness of the accident. If I were you, regular passer-by at the time accident occurred would might have seen the mishap but not aware how to help her, therefore, I'll bring my sister to the accident spot and ask everyone walking around there for witness, it might be tiring but this is your sister grievance and she must seek justice. ↡ Advertisement
