Any advise which petrol in Malaysia/JB has has Ron 98 ? Reason for asking is some tuning program had indicated optimise for Ron 98 petrol, and at time I do drive in JB as near to my house.

" Stage 1+ Gas Type: Optimized for 93 Octane / 98 Ron gas " Or am i confuse over the words Octane ve Ron ?

Or which petrol U guys normally go for ? Used to Pump Shell V Power(not sure if it is racing) in JB but indicated at (minimum RON97) whereas in SG is 98.

despite your car being tuned to 98, it can still accept 95, no worries

there is no 98 in malaysia, 97 in JB only

travel further up and the stations only have 95

malaysia has a much bigger vehicle population than us and they also have premium vehicles

if their cars can survive >10 years with their fuel i dont see why their fuel quality is worse than ours

Ur car is tune with piggy back or standalone ecu ? If yes, u can't tune with sg 98,n than mix with jb97. I try before. It keep knocking .

If u always go jb, than tune Ur car with jb 97. So that u hv no problem mixing both petrol.

if u using performance engine, by running 95, it might cause problems later on.

leave 98 tuning and use octane boosters

If stand alone ECU, just keep 2 sets of mapping. 1 set for JB, one set for SG. Then go MY can just load the JB map.

Malaysia only have RON 95/ RON97 petrol.... Singaporean registered vehicle can ONLY pump RON97 petrol.... even if you "accidentally" pull out RON95 pump... the attendant will come and stop you... [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]
