Fuelsaver Supercharged October 26, 2011 Share October 26, 2011 Your Stream RSZ is also 1.8A with the same engine as the Civic 1.8A right? Its FC is quite good. Yes, although I stated "honest calculated figure" when readers poll their caFC, I think there will always be some who put in their best one-time reading, etc. Referring to that for Civic 1.8A: http://www.civicfd-sg.com/viewtopic.php?t=6970 I would ignore those polls of 15+km/litre. In the early months of the poll, the median figure was about 11.3 km/l now after 234 polls (which is quite a reliable statistical sample), it has slipped to about 10.8 km/l which is even more representative. Since you have been surfing the FD Civic forum, I would like to encourage you and other MCF furum members to look up the thread on Defensive Driving at: mhttp://www.civicfd-sg.com/viewtopic.php?t=6144. Thanks for sharing and cheers! Yes. Me too suspect they put best mileage or those attained wen traveling my hiway. So 10.8 kml somewat representable. Will visit ur recommended thread. Thx. Skyblas Neutral Newbie October 26, 2011 Share October 26, 2011 get the 1.8 one, the 1.6 is underpower hence FC not good...

Detach8 5th Gear October 27, 2011 Share October 27, 2011 (edited) Depreciation on the Civic is crazy... why don't you consider a Chevvy Cruze? At least it hovers around 7-8k/yr. Buy new and you get a high COE so you got paper value -- easier to sell in future. You buy a 2008/09 car where COE is rock bottom and if COE drops in 2013 you will lose a lot when you sell. The new Cruze 1.6A has a 6-speed auto box and a newer 1.6L engine. I was about to test drive yesterday when I found out that the showroom is no longer in Alexendra and moved to Ubi... ugh. JaydenSTI 1st Gear October 27, 2011 Share October 27, 2011 (edited) if going for 1.6, the manual civic should be a better choice. if going for 1.8, i believe the auto civic provide greater fun as the paddle shifter is responsive and intelligent enuf. just rmb to source of a 08+ onwards 1.8 auto civic for upgraded auto tranny. The 1.8 is strong enuf even in auto variant, not much of different from the manual imho. in daily commute, the manual civic is no where near the auto civic in sg road in term of responsiveness. dun flame me, i am a manual lover..... my current ride a manual one.... i used to owned a 1.8 auto civic, great car, still miss it somehow..... btw have seen some bros mentioned 1.8 civic can get 13 - 15km/l....... i have never hit more than 11km/l in sg road in my 2 years of ownership of 1.8 civic........ max 15km/l cursing at tortoise speed in NSHW........... ChickenMob 6th Gear October 27, 2011 Share October 27, 2011 Owned a 1.8L 2009 facelifted version. power wise not bad, but the brakes compared to other cars is not really that good. previously both the car in NOV 2008 the price was just about $5k more than the 1.6 but comes with more factory options than the 1.6k. rather you go for the 1.8.
