Tohto Hypersonic October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 If you can afford the 1.8M, just go for it. It had better factory fit equipment, more powerful enjoy and of cause a enjoyable drive. Insurance will be slightly higher.

Expertz 1st Gear October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 normally the civic 1.6 and 1.8 should be of similar pricing with the prices quoted, either the 1.6 is too cheap, or the 1.8 is too expensive i'm not sure about the fuel consumption but civic has only a 50L fuel tank, the effective amount of fuel you'll get before the low fuel indicator comes up should be around 43L which would get you only around 500km before you need to refuel if that is a consideration, maybe the 1.6 would make better sense; after adding the fact that the 1.6 might just be very cheap
Beonhah 1st Gear October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 choose FD2 M ,no regret..
Mugen85 1st Gear October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 Go for the 1.8M. Great power and good FC. You should be getting around 14km/l. 1.6 underpowered if you ask me.

Mugen85 1st Gear October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 Just asking , what about the 2.0A? 2.0 of course even better. FC for manual maybe around 12-13km/l. Figures est on average of owners driving civic FD.
Dafansu Turbocharged October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 1.8 08 1st quarter can get for about 65k
Rezorn86 3rd Gear October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 Both of this car weight is abt the same, therefore i will choose 1.8M + the fc i feel tat not too much diff. But u had to pay @ a higher premier on the insurance n the price too.

Coz I've got a friend interested in getting one.. He likes the FD Civic because of its interior and exterior looks.. He is targetting the current 2.0 A model.. Weewee1976 3rd Gear October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 If you can afford it and you really like Civic that much, get a new one from KM. But note that the next generation Civic is coming out soon. You may wish to wait till then to decide as the old model will most likely have some sort of clearance sale. Steptronic Supercharged October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 I felt 1.6 was little underpowered (but it is much better than most of the 1.6L cars around). If you can afford depreciation and insurance, go for 2.0L (2.0 L has all the features including the cruise control), that is the best. 1.8 is in between. In my experience with Honda, it is the most reliable and nothing happens to most of the items in car even after 5 years. Honda is good choice and Civic is a super model. All the best.
