I think kit has a great voice and should treasure it. She can be our local Cai Qin if she emulates and map her singing career well. Kit's voice has street cred in some HK hifi circles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Send_in_the_Clowns Musical : a little night music. Kit: The music room 2011 is indeed an intimate affair. Very cosy and personal setting, i almost felt like sitting in a smoky jazz bar. Her technique is almost flawless, showing lots of heart with competent musicians. Sadly, the musicians didn't show off some guitar riffs or percussion solo when musical director credited them in the final moments. The ending piano arrangement sounds like a musical box with Kit's voice softly serenading to a soothing closure, nice. Bravo, kit and the team! Got the second front row seat for Friday's show and phew what a fantastic show it was! Her diction and rendation is flawless be it in English,Mandarin or Cantonese. She is truly Sigapore's singing treasure. I am in my 60"s senior years and seldom attend musical concert,but this show really open my eyes how Singapore singers can be. Thanks Kit for a fantastic and fabulous show. Looking forward for the next concert if there is any. The tribute song for Leslie Chung penned by Jimmy Ye was beautifully sung. I personally think the 1st episode song "心动" is great, the 2nd episode, she sang "心如刀割" which is not as good. She was voted out by the second episode but appeared in the third singing "Nothing compares 2 u", which is still very good. There are some online noises (rumors) that she was totally off (走音)in the second episode. And required some serious editing/ vocal tuning to release for online consumption.
