Steptronic Supercharged October 7, 2011 Author Share October 7, 2011 bro... u should compare E class with XF and not a C class... True, but to me, E class is more of uncle's car. I would probably buy E class after few years

Fourth 2nd Gear October 7, 2011 Share October 7, 2011 I'll recommend new XF or C-class as they are just facelifted, 523i is too common on the road le. XF looks better imo. onli down side for XF would be it's road tax... Why downside on road tax? Not much difference unless you are eying the diesel versions. Cerano 1st Gear October 7, 2011 Share October 7, 2011 not really....the handling felt ok to me....the best thing was its automatic trans and the awesome 3 liter plus engine the sales lady was nice to let me test drive for a longer time....and encouraged me to work for it and get a jaguar next time test drove the vehicle at wearnes automotive yes i did too there. whats her name grace is it? handling felt pretty numb but didnt test thoroughly. it was the sleepy engine that i didnt like. 3L but feels boneless, feelingless. No growl no emotions. Doesnt feel powerful. Doesnt give a kick.
NightWind 4th Gear October 7, 2011 Share October 7, 2011 BMW is so common these days, get the Jag XF. It has a 3L V6 powerplant that tops the 2.5L straight 6 in your f10 523i. as for the Merc C class thats a step DOWN its the worst choice of the 3 in terms of whats under the hood. And it will look simply puny next to the Jag. Hello friends, it is time for me to change as there is uncertainity around Mazda and COE here. Car is getting 2 years now. Since there is no obvious Japanese car for me this time (driven CRV, Cefiro earlier), thinking of exploring Conti for a change (my wife is holding me back from those contis). But, sort of convincing her. My choice is in the order they are appearing in the Poll. Thanks for taking the poll.

The 523 is rather handsome, high tech and impressive too, so it is just my personal taste and nothing to fault it. Didn't test drive the E class because only the S class and CLS looks appealing enough to me. I must test go test drive the C200, when I accompany my friend to the showroom. Flameblade 1st Gear October 7, 2011 Share October 7, 2011 bro when i drove it... it was more like a dead cat. bo lat one. maybe im too used to forced induction on my unstock c-class xf is too heavy too.... felt sluggish similar to a gs300. anyway i dont like the wood trim. i like aluminium is yours the C200 Kompressor (not the newer CGI model) ? I test drove a C200K before. Somehow I can't really feel the power and the kick of the supercharger. Was making alot of noise and there's not much ooomph. The supercharger whine is quite loud also. In fact, when my parents was in the test car, they also feel that its not that powerful. They felt that my current Alfa Romeo 159 2.2 was more powerful. But one thing for sure, the ride is very comfortable. Handling is okie as it's a rwd. Wanted to change from the Alfa 159 to the C200k (not the CGI model), but after the test drive, feel that its not worth the change. ThreadStarter: sorry for the OT. XF is ok but i think getting abit dated even with FL. new CLS loooks nice
