Hello friends, it is time for me to change as there is uncertainity around Mazda and COE here. Car is getting 2 years now. Since there is no obvious Japanese car for me this time (driven CRV, Cefiro earlier), thinking of exploring Conti for a change (my wife is holding me back from those contis). But, sort of convincing her. My choice is in the order they are appearing in the Poll.

Thanks for taking the poll.

Interesting choice and given your reasoning for the inclusion of the C200, perhaps you should consider getting the best of all worlds.

Since you have the budget for a XF or 523i, why not consider a higher c.c C-class?

Just a quick comparison off SGcarmart:

C200 - 184hp, $208k

XF - 275hp, $360k instead consider a C63 - 457hp, $372k (Go all the way but the M3 is better)

523i - 203hp, $240k instead consider a C350 - 306hp, $262k (Nice blend of price and power)

There is always another day for that Ah Pek car. [:p]

can include the new audi A6 not? so sexy leh.

pre FL jaguar XF not as sleek, interior is very old looking, like targeted towards the older crowd. FL exterior is much better.

although C200 is in a different segment, i'd say the new interior is very nice.

523i F10 is too common, but sleek looking. engine 2.5 IL6 too underpowered.

not that XF's 3L v6 is a gem though.

E250 CGI too old looking on the outside, interior is quite good.

But Jaguar's 3.0Diesel 240bhp/ 275bhp engines are better than the dated 238bhp 3.0V6 Petrol.

And while the 3.0Petrol does 0-100kph in 8.5s, the 240bhp Diesel does it in 7.1s, thanks to 500Nm, and the 275bhp does it in 6.4s, thanks to 600Nm of torque!!!

Well, the interior of the XF isn't a looker, but it's leather wrapped mind you. You can also opt for aluminium trims if you don't like the wood.

The XF measures at 4961mm long, which is even longer than the F10 5-Series at 4899mm.....

lets hear it from one of the XF owners - that me - I am driving a 3 litre Diesel Jag XFS since Jan 2011 n never a moment of regret. With the "S" at the back, front black grill n LED front bumper daylight tell the difference between a normal XF petrol to a XFS diesel. Yes the road tax is crazy but think of the 275 HP, 600 Newton of Torque, less thirsty, diesel cost is cheaper than petrol, superb road handling (already driven to 250km ) and much higher in OMV as compare to BMW 5 n MB E class, this car is worth the price. Jag stands up I guess better than BMW n MB as there are already plenty on the road.

If u are interested, the 2.2 diesel is arriving soon do test it and u know the difference.

Best of luck.

XF is not 275hp, that's an XFS. Also not $360k, XF is about $230k region and XFS $265k. XFR $440.

These are list prices. The actual sale price should be lower with overtrade and discounts. For interested to go find out themselves.

I heard however that the XFS is no longer on sale now that 2.2L is out. The list price for 2.2L was 265k when I was at showroom last week.
