How do you store eggs at home?

Do you stores your egg in the open or kept them in the refrigerator? Any Pros and cons?

 

Do you usually look at the expiry date of these eggs too?

Eggs are perishable, should be kept in the fridge.

Get a fridge with the eggs tray! Worth the investment. Can also store your vegetables and leftovers food in the fridge.

Interesting question. . I store mine in fridge to take up space as my fridge is totally empty most of the time..

Open can be too warm in Singapore. Later the chicks run out when you are at work. [laugh]

 

Keep in the fridge for better lifespan and freshness.

Agree. No egg tray also must store in fridge, don't all eggs come in a tray anyway ?

 

Even with the fridge, eggs don't stay very fresh after 2 days.

 

In the U.S., eggs are always found in the frozen foods section.

I hate cold eggs.

Salt or pepper just cant dissolve well in it.

So i usually leave it in open and consume it within a week.

Useful info. Thanks. That means I threw away a lot of eggs. I usually keep in fridge for 10 days then into the dustbin for those that I can't finish - usually

3 to 4 eggs.
