btw, moral of the story :

 

1. filter to left lane early if you want to exit, don't cut across few lanes out of sudden

2. if u are not sure of the route, keep left and go slow

 

may be LTA should draw more double white line near expressway exit, so that ppl cannot cut in last minute

 

agreed with u on the 2 points..but drawing of double white lines is pretty useless imo..alot of drivers just cut into double-white lines and chevrons..making rule-abidding drivers get a shock..i think those yellow-black thin bollards will be better

this actually happens to me once when i wanted to slow down around a bend and a tap too hard on the brakes causeing my car to spin rear out and bang into the side rail of the road. becareful not to brake too hard when about to lose traction as it will cause the car to go out of control and BANG....................................

 

You should brake to appropriate speed before the bend and could slowly accelerate around the bend if too slow, not brake.

think he wasn't trying to exit in the first place.. seemed to me he was skidding towards the railing on his right, counter steered too much and lost control... could easily happen to anybody

This driver damn stupid to cut across 3 lanes to try to exit the PIE.

If someone driving beside his car will be hit for nothing.

i think it was a man, saw the aftermath, while the car was about to be pulled out. i thought he was at the correct lane but drive tru the railing. but after seeing this, really shocked that he made out alive and standing while watching his car being evacuated from the bush. and the car was on its wheel when its being pulled out.
