Exporting Gmail contacts

You can quickly export your Gmail Contacts list into a CSV file. Here's how:

1.Sign in to Gmail.

2.Click Contacts along the side of any Gmail page.

3.From the More actions drop-down menu, select Export....

4.Choose whether to export all contacts or only one group.

5.Select the format in which you'd like to export your contacts' information. Please note, some of these formats can lose some contact information. ◦To transfer contacts between Google accounts, use the Google CSV format. This is the recommended way to back up your Google Contacts.

◦To transfer contacts to Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or various other apps, use the Outlook CSV format.

◦To transfer contacts to Apple Address Book, use the vCard format.

6.Click Export.

7.Choose Save to Disk then click OK.

8.Select a location to save your file, and click OK.

Depending on the requirements of the program to which you're exporting your contacts from Gmail, you can easily edit the file to fit your needs.

Go to your settings in your new gmail account, hit the "accounts and import" tab, then hit "import mail and contacts". A box will pop up asking for your email address you want to import from, key in your email addy and follow from there.

Hi Bro,

Thanks for your effort.

I had managed to transfer all the emails to my NEW gmail account.

But still waiting for them to update all the CONTACTs into my NEW gmail account.

Below are the steps that someone taught me.

================================================

once you do it then you must import them into the new account , but Gmail doesn't let you use its standard import feature to transfer from one account to another, so you'll need to use the Check mail using POP3 entry. Enter the following configuration:

Username: Your old gmail email address

Password: Password for your old gmail account

POP server: pop.gmail.com

Port: 995

Always use secure connection: checked

Label incoming messages: checked

This will pull over all your old mail and will continue to pull over new mail received at the old account until you disable it. It will not, however, save any label information. You will need to relabel your emails (or simply rely on gmail's search features to find messages).

No worries, sorry I wasnt of much help. Worst case scenario, export to outlook express or windows live mail on your computer then re-export out again.
